Couple weeks back... Closing of turkey - got a pig instead
Those nipples look like they are ready to be milked or drank from, the way those chi-chi’s are all plumped up. Were there piglets around; they might be looking for milk now 🤣?

Hey guys just a PSA for all and it includes anything from rodents on up.

California Nonlead Ammunition Law Summary:

Effective July 1, 2019, nonlead ammunition is required when taking any wildlife with a firearm anywhere in California. This includes hunting on both public and private lands. The regulation stems from Assembly Bill 711, signed into law in 2013, and fully phased in by the California Fish and Game Commission by 2019.

Hey guys sorry for coming off as an A**H***. I did not mean to. I really did not realize we had some expats here. I was really flabbergasted that you can't even shoot squirrels, rats etc with lead anymore. So again, I apologize. I really wish there was some way to know where people are located.
Why is it any of your or our business where they are located ? I hunt in many states who are you to self nominate as an amateur game warden that a sure way to get people not to post

Ok here is a story about a pheasant hunt. Years ago, a friend invited me on a hunt with his brother and friends. Oil lease ground somewhere south of Sacramento, this is where some big ships would come up the channel to the Port of Sacramento. Big ships really big ships especially when you are on the bank when they pass.
Not a very productive day but fun just the same. So, for lunch his brother had made deer chili and beans. It was horrible very bad (over cooked meat or forage they were eating). I took a spoon full and there was no way I was going to eat that :poop: and neither was my friend. We were lucky because the dogs were near us so when nobody was looking a couple of dogs got our bowls.
So, you don't tell the guy hey this is crap even nicely at least not in front of his friends who either had no taste buds or are used to his cooking.
Has anybody had a similar experience?

Tried to get some A zone deer. I failed but at least my son bagged a nice pig. B zone will hopefully get me a deer.

I’ll tel you what comes out of it. It was a decent pig. Bigger than average but we harvested once monster male about 5 years ago that was hanging weigh 246 after being dressed out.

The Monterey tainted pigs is concerning but we’re way far north of there. Also, I tend to take a more pragmatic view of it that the product is working as designed, in that they put the dye in the poison to flag to a person that the meat is tainted.
