Where do you keep your permit card?

I was curious where everyone keeps their CCW permit card.

I'm assuming most keep it in their wallet, but it was mentioned to me if you had your wallet stolen, then now the thief knows you have firearms in your car or at home. Good point I guess. Or, maybe that will make them give your wallet back, lol.

Anyone carrying it separately from your wallet or anywhere else you've found to be useful or handy—especially those of you who don't always have your wallets with you?

if you put it in something else, couldn't you lose that other thing too? you have to have it on you.

In my wallet, right behind my driver’s license. If a police officer asks for my driver’s license, I hand him/her both at the same time. It also helps to have quick access to both when doing a DROS. I don’t worry about people knowing I have firearms. If a thieves see my driver’s license, they know I have a car, too, and that’s worth a lot more than any firearm I own.

Are we really running out of topics to talk about?

I mean I feel it’d be easier to lose IDs and CCW license if it’s loosely in your pocket vs in a wallet.

Pretty much, don’t lose your wallet.

TBH, people that find wallets AND are malicious will be taking money and maybe credit cards and dumping the rest.

i keep mine taped to my forehead so i don't lose it. Tripple wrap it to make sure it doesn't fall off

the f kind of question is this lol

In your prison pocket. If they are trying to steal my wallet one of us is not surviving.

I keep mine in my gun safe. That way if I need to show it to the cops I can just invite them over and give them the combination so it can be easily referenced. I leave my wallet in there too. If I forget the combination, I can just ask Steve from the Arco station. He has to use it all the time to sell me my Snickers bars.

I keep mine with my ccw badge. Wallet in my back left pocket and ccw badge in my back right pocket.
Can we see a picture of the badge you carry? I’ve been considering wearing one of those CCW sashes when I’m out and about. That way, I won’t have to show anything to anyone. Everyone will just know. And that way, I think I might actually start getting the kind of respect I deserve, too.

Do you have to show your ccw permit if you're not carrying?

Hmmmm took you a while to say that for someone who was defending Epstein.
I don’t know what to say here man. I don’t like Epstein, glad he’s gone. Not a fan of sex offenders. Just operate within a system of laws and evidence. I saw something being offered as proof of something that wasn’t remotely mentioned in the proof. It seems like you’re just trolling me for attention.

Do you have to show your ccw permit if you're not carrying?
No, but in my county we have to inform LEOs that we have a CCW permit, and it’s a lot easier to just hand them your permit along with your driver’s license than it is to announce “I have a CCW permit!” out of nowhere. But we do have to inform them during any official contact, even if we are not carrying at the time.
