Where do you keep your permit card?

I was curious where everyone keeps their CCW permit card.

I'm assuming most keep it in their wallet, but it was mentioned to me if you had your wallet stolen, then now the thief knows you have firearms in your car or at home. Good point I guess. Or, maybe that will make them give your wallet back, lol.

Anyone carrying it separately from your wallet or anywhere else you've found to be useful or handy—especially those of you who don't always have your wallets with you?

I've seen this asked on other forums and some guys carry their CCW permit on a beaded chain around their neck tucked in to avoid reaching around for a wallet and exposing your conceal carry. I keep mine in my wallet though.

I do however keep my registration and proof of insurance in a sun visor pocket. I have my 3 sons do the same. That way when and if you get pulled over you do not need to reach for anything (again exposing) to get to your glove box or console.

I carry my gun in my left front pocket (I do not recommend this for right handed shooters ) my wallet with my CCW card in my right front pocket.
OP my question is when don't you have your wallet? Swimming, doing a pole dance for your mistress, sleeping, taking a shower, in the hospital, being arrested that's all I can think of.

I keep mine in my underwear behind my nuttsack. If the officer were ever to ask for it I will interlock my fingers behind my head and say, “Officer, I am uncomfortable reaching into my waistband to retrieve my card for my safety; you however are welcome to retrieve it yourself…”

What a great point. Someone suggested taping the license to your CCW gun so you can easily hand both to the officer.

There's no reason you can't keep a loaded 13+1 9MM Taurus in your prison pocket.
Just needs a bit of practice on the draw, but you'll be good.

Over half the country doesn’t need a CCW. Yemen has more rights than Californians…definitely not Americans.
