You can also dremel a cutout in some cheap medical forceps. Worked for me.

change it out to the hk45 release. or any of the aftermarket extended releases (very easy to do). makes a HUGE difference. it's weird. I dunno why that little bit more lever matters but it's huge

Agreed. Be mindfull of the fit with holsters. I 3 o'clock carry OWB and the holster i got would allow the kydex to depress the mag release enough to drop the mag and there is no tension to retain the mag. A little dremel work solved it.

you can get an extended mag release... the paddle mag release is great and true ambience.. you just have to train with it... I got rid of my p365xl and got a HKp30sk and HKp2000sk I like a hammer fired gun

I love my 365. I even put an RMRcc on it. I surprise myself regularly with it. It's a great little pistol. All that said, I just can't bring myself to carry it. I have the same striker fired hang up. I put my P2000sk on my permit this time around. Mine has been changed to a LEM trigger, "4.1" I think it's called. It keeps the de-er intact. I'm thinking about getting a P2000 in .40sw to carry as well. My only hangup with the HK's are slide milling for optics. I've come to love the red dots. As soon as I can find someone to do the milling, I'll have dots on them all.

they dont do p2000, wright is amongst the few that will. there's a place in Huntington Beach that will too, but heard their wait times are horrific

What the hell does A P320 having ND problems have to do with a P365? If your house plumbing is backed up do you call an electrician? Your lack of logical thought on this is confounding.

Also, the logic in the OP is fine. If they make a decent P365- but the P320 had issues and CS is deflecting, it's reasonable to see some buyer-apprehension.

Did your P2000SK come with one or two magazines. HK website states two magazines and Turners only came with one for me. And they swear they all only have one.

I just started jail on a P2000SK at Turner's (I know.... but they are having a sale that even my garage FFL guy said he couldn't beat, and he beats everything). I am switching from the p365 and sacrificing a little size for that long, heavy DA first pull on the SA/DA HK (Specifically did not want the LEM version for that one reason). I have had this constant nagging feeling with the striker fire sig pointed at my junk all day after watching some hit pieces on youtube regarding sig...., and coincidentally we sold some furniture to a random guy yesterday, and he is on his 8th year as a marine corps armorer... We got to talking and he said he's never seen so many ND reports coming through since they started using the M18, and that sig is nothing but dodgy when responding and always blaming something else, even the "ammo".

Has anyone made a similar swap for that safety reason? How did it work out ? I'm testing the waters on selling the 365 but might hold onto it.

How do you like the P2000SK? I just bought one at Turners as the price is right. I've been carrying for 40 years, and only a S&W 638. When you absolutely positively don't want out of battery or accidental discharge, I don't trust anything else. I also bought a P365 and P365 X Macro which joins my Glock 19 and drawer full of striker fires that are for everything other than carry. The P2000SK is the only "subcompact" I can find that is DASA. I really hope for a P365 sized pistol in DASA some day. It will sell like crazy to CCW people.

I think the HK P2000SK is one of the best carry guns they make. If we could get the P30SK in CA I'd recommend that as a more modern alternative but it is not on the roster. I like my P2000SK because I can thumb over the hammer when I reholster - just a little extra safety feature in my mind. Also, I think you'll find that the P2000 is a touch more reliable than the modern, striker-fired Sigs. - that last part may bother some folks though..

If you are V3 I would imagine decocking over holstering SA would be preferred, but to each their own

Agreed and I own a P2kSK with the IDot. Unless you’re desperate for a hammer HK I’d buy the VP9SK OR. The only reason I see going with a P2kSK or P30SK over a VP9SK is if you want to shoot IDPA BUG since the VP9SK is slightly too big for that division.

I reholster with the hammer back but on the range only. Never actually carry it that way. I'm decent with the first round being DA but its always easier to stay on target while SA.
