You dont like the charging hood? Thats one of the selling points for me
I run both on my RMSc footprint, the S and SE. Both have ran great. I do have a preference for the removable battery on my carry vs range guns, but they've all performed well so that's just personal preference. I just feel like more can possibly go wrong with the extra electronics on the charging hoods and I want to avoid that on a carry gun
Ultimately, either will probably run great and I'm just glad OSight has both options so as consumers we can make that decision for ourselves

Running Meprolight MPO Pro-S's on 2 of the 3 on my card. I am marginally faster with irons but much more accurate with the dot. I am near sighted so my sights are a blur with glasses on and the target is blur with my glasses off. With a dot, I have a clean target and just need to move the dot to what I am seeing.

any of my pistols that will be used for putting points in the board, competition or against somebody else, are all wearing red dots. I dabble in iron sights at matches academically, but pistol RDS provide such a huge advantage in any situation that I consider it almost mandatory in this day and age for defensive/duty- use.
You had me until you said mandatory. I can tell you 100% red dot or iron sights made no difference in my CCW usage. Dude was maybe 1-2 yards in front of me running forward

I think it's most likely a prosecution tactic to sway the jury emotionally rather than a legal point of attack based on facts.

Any decent lawyer will point out that none of those cringe punisher or skull accessories which are strictly cosmetic are illegal nor do they make an otherwise legal shooting illegal. This line of logic is akin to saying the clothes you wear plays a role whether a shoot is a good shoot or a bad shoot.
I will say psycho lawyers do exist. A month ago this persian jew lawyer was screaming and going insane saying that I 'had an unprofessional shirt and was acting like an ICE agent" to the other counsel that hired me. Idk what that even means lmao. The witness I served is related to him and the case. I had my Walther 250th anniversary USA flag merica eagle shirt I literally just got around 4th of july ahahah. Obviously everything he said is retarded and means nothing.

However in a criminal trial there are a lot of rules. You can't just say any crazy 💩 you want and it goes.

So I feel like im doing dots wrong lol. I always have to look for my dot. How do I fix that. I trained for a month and couldn't fix it. Am I doing something inherently wrong? I'm so used to irons and I already shoot with both eyes open.
I am lucky it kinda came naturally for me but one benefit of the PDP is the grip really points you towards the dot naturally

Get to where it's correctly lined up for you then keep repeating that draw and build the muscle memory. After doing it like 500 times correctly I don't even think about it. Just like racing I guess haha

Grew up shooting irons. Wasn’t till I was well into adulthood before red dots for pistols started to show up. By then, I had settled on XS dot big sights. At some point I will get one for a range weapon but unlikely to change my real self defense weapons.

Sounds like a Queers for Palestine level idiot…

Put painters tape over the front of the sight so can’t see the target through the glass, just the dot. Treat it like an occluded sight. Practice that way for a bit.

And then pick up the gun (unloaded) several times a day, put a good grip on it, and point the dot at different things around the room (light switch, door knob, etc.). Adjust the gun each time to see the dot in the middle of whatever you’re looking at. The key is in your wrist angles. After awhile, you won’t have to make any adjustments to your grip at all to have the dot land squarely on your target after every draw or transition.

What im failing to understand is, I already have both eyes open when aiming with irons, so my target acquisition should be on point. But the second I put a dot on my gun everything seems to change
Where do you focus your eyes? For me I had to switch to target focus. So in my house I would look at the light switch and then present the gun and the red dot appears on the light switch I am still looking at. As opposed to looking in the sight for the red dot and then placing it on the light switch. If that makes sense…

the fundamental thing to practice is start with your pistol off the target and focus on the target, focus on the smallest spot you can and do it with some amount of intensity. Now bring the dot to it like you move a computer mouse, you do it subconsciously. Don't look at the dot and move it around if it's not on your target, instead stay focused on the target and just allow your body to work for you in the periphery. A good way to train this is just dry fire between a few targets. Start the first target from a draw, then the next target you are transitioning first with your vision then bring the dot there, transition to the next target with vision then bring the dot there. You don't have to be even pressing the trigger practicing this just practice the transitions. Then in live fire the tricky thing is not focusing on the dot when it moves up in recoil. If your vision goes up following the dot, guess where your shots will go? This is why a lot of people prefer a smaller dot vs a larger one, you don't want to be looking at the dot you want to be able to keep focus on the target. I also like my dot to be on the dimmer side as well vs blazing brightness.

Makes sense. I've never chosen a side (or eye) to aim with. Like I said. Both eyes open. When I draw my aim is perfect with the irons. Theoretically, shouldnt it be the same with rhe dot? Thats the part im not understanding I guess. If the dot is supposed to be aiming down the tube like the irons, why can't I get on targer?

But ill give the masking tape trick a try.

Yes both eyes open.

The tape trick is a good one because it forces you to be target focused. If you focus on the dot all you’ll see is tape.

It’s just one of those things you have to put in the reps. There is one presentation that will put the dot on the target and you have to build the muscle memory to get your draw to that point every time. Don’t go searching for the dot. Draw, present gun to target staying target focused.
