Picked up a Shield 1.0 for $550

So they are lying...????? I mean it's still cool but not worth the money to me. If I need more rounds just carry my PDP Compact that holds 15 lol

Smith & Wesson Shield 9mm +2 MagGuts™-High Capacity Magazine Conversion
This conversion adds just 1/4″ to the length of the magazine and adds 2 rounds! The extra 1/4″ does little to decrease the ability to conceal while adding just enough for a firm pinky grip.
This is our third version of the Shield MagGuts™ conversion and it is better than ever! We developed a revised ZeeSpring™ profile that adds just a little more spring force while compressing to a shorter height providing space for the new polymer follower. The lock plate is now attached to the spring as one piece for simplicity and ease of assembly. The short MagGuts extension with the OEM-like follower and ZeeSpring™ combine to get you two extra rounds in a super reliable magazine.
-Converts the 7 round magazine to 9 rounds while keeping it shorter than the S&W 8 round magazine
-Convert the 8 round magazine to 10 rounds by adding only 1/4″
-Maintains reliable feed and slide lock operation
-Easy to install
-Compatible with original S&W 9mm magazines only.
-Not compatible with Shield .40
-Patented & Patent Pending.
1/4" is so miniscule it's not even noticeable. You wouldn't even notice it.

But it def isn't worth the money.. Maybe if you want to have 1 mag that has 10rds.

Not really, the P365 has worse recoil, and a pretty bad spongy trigger.
You're smoking crack dude. The trigger on the 365 is best in class. You're comparing a gun with a pricey aftermarket trigger to a factory trigger. I have an M2.0 5" with the Apex, and I agree the trigger is excellent. That only further proves how good the factory trigger on the 365 is. Again, the Shield is a decent gun. And if you like it, it doesn't matter what anyone else says. But that still doesn't change the FACT that the 365 is far superior. Both have about the same amount of recoil IMHO. I have two 365 FCUs and have swapped multiple slides, grip modules, and barrels on them, and they've all functioned flawlessly. That is highly unusual. Don't know what you did to your 365 to have malfunctions, but I'm convinced it was you and not the gun. My 365s will even eat nasty steel-cased Turkish crap ammo that my Glocks don't even like. And the 365 is effortless to shoot accurately. One of the few guns that I can pick up cold and hit a bullseye at 7 yards with the first shot (no RDS).

I don't own one, I got to shoot a brand new one on Monday in LA. My Walther PDP compact absolutely smokes it, the 365 has such a spongy, vague trigger I was very disappointed. A quick google search shows it is a common complaint. The P320 is better though not as good as the PDP. If you think the P365 base model has a good trigger you should shoot a P226, a 1911, a PDP etc and learn

I agree it's barely noticeable. That's what she said btw - she also said a 4 inch barrel is "pretty big"

Oh geez, you don't need to lecture me about triggers. I have all the guns you listed and many more. The 365 can hang with the best of them. You know, that just might be why I posted that in the first place. I have a Q5 Match SF and a Shadow 2. Those triggers are excellent. And I can still shoot a stock 365 with iron sights just as well as those guns with an RDS. The 365 is a fantastic firearm. It's the most popular CCW for a reason.

Good point actually. I'll get one just to use as the CCW mag, that is worth it

The P365 trigger is comparable to a P226, well ok enjoy your day lmao

Oh easy. The P226, is a great gun (I have 4 of them). And I still love the 365 just as much. The P320 has a great trigger as well. I used to have 4 P320 FCUs, but I decided to sell two of them because it was a little too ridiculous, even for a fanboy like me, to have that many. But don't get me started on P229s. I own more than I care to admit and I'll never sell any of them. I stand by my comment, the 365 is an excellent best in its class slim micro compact pistol with an excellent striker-fired trigger, maximum capacity, and shoots like a friggin laser beam. Again, you don't need to lecture me about different handgun triggers; I'm pretty sure I've owned and shot a lot more than you have over the decades. Like a LOT more than you. Trust me. Not trying to yuck on your yum. The Shield 1.0 is a great gun, I know, I had one for about a decade (a lot longer than you have had your Shield). The 365 is far superior. If it wasn't, I would still have my Shield, and I wouldn't have two 365s.

Slow dowwnnnnnn…
Yes the 365 is a great gun. No one is saying it sucks. The shield plus has a superior trigger with less sponge and shorter reset. It shoots noticeably flatter but both guns are close contenders. The 365 is lighter with a smaller footprint and highly modular. It’s amazing. Its biggest brags are weight, size, capacity, shoot ability. The 365 has much more potential. I wouldn’t say it’s 30% better gun as the price would suggest. Base model to base model the shield plus shoots better. Not the shield 1.0. We ALL agree on base shield 1.0 is inferior.
Best base model striker trigger is walther but they don’t have a micro9 striker. Canik has the best micro9 trigger but is more snappy shooter than 365, hellcat, shield plus, etc.

Gawernator may have shot a lemon 365. Shocker..they exist. I’ve seen them from multiple highly regarded YouTubers. Sometime they aren’t even zeroed in with sights out of the box. Mine was off out of the box and needed to be adjusted.

Tell that to OP, not me. We appear to be on the same page. OP is comparing a Shield 1.0 to the 365, not the Plus. I'm sure a Plus with a Holosun is worth over $500. A Shield 1.0 is not. I sold my Shield 1.0 for dirt cheap, and was happy someone even wanted it.

I have a soft spot for the shield 1.0. I had GFT like a decade ago do some custom work with a laser, swap some apex parts in, and install a custom 1911 style safety and it's withstood multiple purge cycles and is still listed on one of my spots on my permit despite competing against 2011s that are 10 or 20 times its MSRP.

There are better carry pistols nowadays for similar size/weight/price, but it still holds up really really well.

Why would you have 4 of the same gun

What do you think of P-01. Have you used one?
I have shot one but never owned one. It's a good gun, but nothing I felt I needed to have. Over the years, I've had a 75b full, 75b compact, SP01, TS, and 97b. While they were good guns, I didn't care for any of them. The only CZ I have now is the Shadow 2. And I love it. It's a really nice gun.

After shooting it like 50-100 rounds it stopped having issues. I told my friend leave the mags loaded for a couple weeks and it should all break in.

Edit: however my PDP compact has been flawless out of the box, I didn't even lube it or anything. Walther has their game on point
