I was being a bit facetious . I don’t care about it. My IA only cares that mods are OEM. Glock minus connector is ok. Old Style CZ trigger is ok. After market lighter springs are not .

OEM Springs , no mods to the trigger, I’m not worried .

I don’t disagree. However, the IA is an elected official (County Sheriff) or a Chief of Police who is usually hired by the City Manager/City Council/Mayor.

Even though they are indemnified under law and through the CCW application, they are still at risk for public scrutiny should incidents occur. So, they engage their lawyers for guidance on what the safest administrative policy measures should be. The last thing they want to be asked is, “You could have done something about this. Why did you approve that?”

Understood. If I was a juror, I'd accept a policy 100% that said only, "California gun laws must be followed". Leave the arguing to others.
