I appreciate the discussion! As for brass, I'm from the old school where you always police your brass at the range, not so much after a firefight in a jungle or desert but always at the range! They sound reasonable. Keep in mind that you can reuse your brass, so unless you don't pick up your brass after you shoot, that cost to reload will be done after the first shoot. The brass will eventually become unusable, but until then, just make sure to pick up every piece of 10mm brass. I've been fortunate in that once in a while, I'll be at a shooting bay where someone shot 10mm but didn't pick up their brass, so free brass to me!
.44 mag is a rimmed cartridge and I don't know of any modern .44 semiauto weapons, only revolvers. Have you seen semiauto .44s?Its nice to have more options but I'll buy a 44 before I get a 10mm.
Yup, I know what a 44 is. That's why I said I would get one. And yup, it's a revolver cartridge..44 mag is a rimmed cartridge and I don't know of any modern .44 semiauto weapons, only revolvers.
It's not really a plate in the classic sense, it's more of a spacer. You screw directly through the plastic spacer into the slide which is better than a plate that you screw into the slide then screw the optic into the plate. Ive run the 9mm for thousands of rounds on the plastic I think it works great, never heard of any issues with it.Nice! So, the one criticism I read about the weapon is it comes with plastic plates for mounting optics, is that true? What criticisms of the weapon do you have?
Get it portedWow they gave us the old original model lol, guess can't be ungrateful just wished it was the new ported one...
Which means my usual go to shops will sell it for slightly less
We will see. I have one on order from a LGS and plan on removing it.Would the magazine disconnect removal process be the same I wonder

I removed the MDM from the recent Metal 9mm CA version and from the original Shield CA version. Also removed from Echelon 4.0C CA and PDP CA version so will let you know once I get the 10mm CA version.
I left the space open, just as the YT video I watched left theirs open. I have about 200 rounds through it, including some rapid fire, since it was removed and no problems yet.Slight thread jack... when you removed the mag disconnect from the echelon 4.0c, did you get the spring to take up the space where the mag disconnect part was or did you leave the space open? Considering removing the mdm from mine.
NO.I can see where it would be cathartic and also a good opportunity to listen to an audiobook, I mean after you know exactly what you are doing. Wouldn't want any double loads on a .308 or, heaven forbid a .416!
Have you held this weapon in your hand yet? Are you a big guy? How does it feel? I have extra large hands (can palm a basketball) and I like a really beefy feeling sidearm. I see that S&W sells this as a bundle for $699 and that looks like an insanely great deal. See: https://www.smith-wesson.com/product/m-p-10mm-m2-0-4-6-inch-thumb-safety-carry-on-bundle
Collect up a bucket of brass before you start reloading.Interesting, so if I can buy Blazer Brass 10MM 180gr for .34 per round qty 1000, free shipping vs. self loaded ( low end estimate) 1. Bullet - .15, Casing - .20, Primer - .08, Powder - .06 + the cost of the equipment, I would be running in the red for quite a while with self loaded before before I would hit the break even point let alone was in the black? Do my estimates look reasonable to you?
