I was sent a text that I was approved and they emailed a link to pick a date and pay the remainder of my fees.

Nice. Congrats.

I waited a week then emailed them. I think it's AI answering their emails at this point. I was very specific regarding my status changing from Supervisor review to pending appointment completion and all I got was the standard:

"You will be contacted when your file has been approved and we are ready to issue your license."

About how far in the future was the first available pickup date from when you got the notifications?

There was appointments available the following week but the times did work out for me. But two weeks out was pretty open.

That's not bad. Was really hoping I had been notified already as I am going to be off and in L.A. on Thursday. Oh well. Will make it work when the time comes (starting potential Jury Duty on the 29th... not down town... so hope that doesn't screw me up).

I emailed them on 9/3 asking when I could expect the tracker to be updated since I submitted the training documents. Haven't received the usual response of "You will be contacted when your file has been approved".

Did you get a reply from them at all? I have emailed them three times over the course of my application process... I usually get a response within a couple days, but it has been the one I posted above.

Haven't received a response. Probably buried under everyone else's emails.

Mine was always stuck at pending appointment completion after the initial interview but you'll eventually get an email to get an appointment to pick up. Should be around 4-6 weeks from submission of training.
 
For what it's worth, I originally submitted my training documents as "Other" on 8/10/2025
Tracker has stayed at "Pending Training Proof Submission"

I renamed and resubmitted my training documents as a "copy version" but this time as "Requested Documents" on 9/10/2025 6:30 pm.

Rechecked today and noticed it was updated to "Pending Appointment Completion" (Not sure when this changed

Haven't received the text to schedule my pickup and CCW unit never responded to my email.

Is there leeway in scheduling? I just submitted my proof of training but I might be out of town in that 4-6 week range depending on when they are ready.

That's roughly the time it takes to process you to pay the final fees. You get to pick the time and date for pick up after you pay.

Unless they speed things up I’d count on more than 4-6 weeks… I submitted my proof of completion exactly 8 weeks and 2 days ago. Still nothing.
But yeah, you get to schedule your pickup date and time (I’m guessing within limits of some kind) once your final approval comes through.

I submitted my training competency completion 8/24/2025. I got a call that went to voicemail and an email that said my application was approved and ready for final
Payment 9/12/2025. Earliest time available for pickup they had was 9/30/2025
