Kimber 2K11 inbound...

Samesies, have had two Kimber 1911's, sold them both and kept my Springfield.

The 2k11 definitely has my eye, I'm on the list to hold a 2k11 Target at one of the LGS, so they will let me know as soon as they are in to come take a peek and buy whenever they get the green light.

I also have not been much of a Kimber fan and love my Springfields. But one day I saw a Kimber Raptor NIB in the classifieds and loved the look of it. I can say it is a very nice well built 1911 9mm and I enjoy shooting it. My only complaint is the FPB don't like it and they should not be on 1911s. It will probably be the only Kimber I will own unless the 2K11 is worth the money.
 
YES! saw an ad from Kimber about the 2k11 coming! so excited!!! Totally ready to get one. I tried the trigger in Vegas and it is sweet!!! Going to be my best range gun for sure!
 
A lot of dealers like me have been getting them but can't sell them cause they are still not the Roster.

This is a first for me since normally the MFG's won't even start production until it's on the list.

Now I have inventory I need to pay for and can't sell.....its silly
 
Or you could be one of the unlucky staccato dealers last week who found out via email they’re no longer dealers, not allowed to sell their new in stock guns as new, they have to be sold as “used”, and wouldn’t be extended the typical lifetime warranty as a result.

F-ing bonkers.

I don't think it does, they got the Rapide on the roster without it. The series 80 style all have the "II" in the name. That said I think the affect is overstated, I've played with a staccato HD that had a 2 lb trigger and you couldn't tell the difference between a non firing pin block trigger. All that and you can always remove it.

I'd be surprised they could get down to a 2 pound trigger while retaining the firing pin block safety spring. Usually to get sub 3 lbs that has to be removed as it provides too much resistance on the take up.

No it was just a lightened spring it was still there. I mean I have a M&P 2.0 and an SPO1 with a 2.5 lb. trigger that still has a firing pin block it's not crazy at all. interestingly with the 1911 trigger you don't seem to need much extra take up to use the firing pin block but the CZ makes a bigger difference and you cant adjust the take-up much at all with the block in.

Ah, like a reduced power glock spring or a McMaster. I could see that being achievable.

Yeah the glock springs fit or you can just cut the oem one down. I will admit I didn't put the trigger on a gage myself but my own trigger is about 2.2 and the HD felt basically the same side by side. I doubt you could go lower than that as the firing pin block spring does add at least some weight, but I don't have any desire to go under 2lb personally.

Surprisingly, my C4X is right around 3.5 ish lbs out of the box and with a simple flat faced trigger swap felt near perfect for what I'd want it to be for a dedicated carry gun. I honestly have very little complaints about the HD series besides the price:value, but they're very good guns and especially good carry guns (the C3.6 and C4X).
