Juggernaut Tactical featureless AR grip?

So why do people put these mag locks and funky looking fin looking things on their grips? I want my magazine to free drop when I hit the release. Bolt locks back last round, drop mag, insert new mag, then hit bolt release to chamber new round. That’s how every AR style rifle I have used works.
Because its literally illegal to have "features" unless the rifle has a maglock, the featureless configuration is a way to avoid the maglock. If you don't have a maglock or a featureless setup you are committing a felony. To me, the featureless setup is the most functional. Obviously people argue about that but I'm right and they are wrong :ROFLMAO:

Everyone I know runs their AR’s the way I was describing. People I personally know as well as random people I see at the range or BLM land who are training or practicing marksmanship skills. Running an AR with “features” and no mag lock is the way the manufacturer intended it because that’s the way people get them in all the other states. So I guess we have a bunch of “felons” in our society with evil guns haha.

Yeah that's not how you shoot a carbine, you don't steer with your trigger hand your thumb wrapping around the pistol grip is literally irrelevent it's just more comfortable. You want to minimize the input with your strong hand and you will be steering and pulling and implementing the majority of your pressure with your support hand on the handguard. This guy starts talking about it around 7:45 but the whole video is a good watch.

Agree to disagree, the more comfortable you are the more control you have, rifles are no exception, next time you grab something or use a tool, bend your thumb up in the air and see how you do, it’s not a natural position thus hindering control.

you don't understand the underlying fundamentals if you think you are controlling the rifle from the strong hand, and at no point is anyone's thumb "up in the air". Is a pistol grip better? sure, but not at the expense of only using 10 round magazines, drilling into your receiver and all of the reliability issues. The featureless grip is a non issue and if anything it could promote better form, you should NOT be introducing pressure with your thumb, that will literally make the gun recoil in a way you don't want. Your strong hand should just be there influencing the gun as little as possible. Go look at a PRS rifle, you keep your thumb on the same side just like a featureless grip. And yet people can take a 25 lb rifle and put it on all sorts of props under time pressure and shoot it extremely accurately. And they set it up like that by choice.

Insert recent debate about VFGs across the competition vs "tactical" space restarted by Lucas.

I understand perfectly, I own plenty of them and have tried different setups and they all lead to the same conclusion, your thumb is not in a natural position no matter how you slice it, and the hell fighter kit does not require any drilling.

we don't need to beat a dead horse but dude the hellfighter kit means you can't even clear a malfunction. The drilling is for a different kit that will allow you to do that. But the final piece of info for you is Reno shooting BARC last month with a fin grip:

I shot this match as well

Maglocks are for the gram. Anyone seriously running a rifle in competition or in training is either using featureless or “freedom” configuration.

It's really all about the grip. The rest is easy. I already had linear compensators on them. Mounting a 5 buck rubber stock stopper set to my length of pull was easy and cheap.

Then it's all about the grip. The Sparrow fit my hand better than other options. Yes, I get questions out of state with them but that creates conversations. Most are unaware of our unconstitutional gun laws here. I use it as a teaching moment. Mostly to say don't let this happen to your state.

I had a 20" AR set up with beautiful highly figured walnut furniture. It was stunning looking. The walnut stock and barrel cover was no issue. The solid walnut pistol grip was. I ended up removing all of it.

Anyone want it?

keep your rifle the way you want it brother!

One of the best parts about AR-15’s is that they are very customizable. You can just buy a stripped lower receiver aka “the gun” and build it out the way you actually want it from there. Buying a featureless rifle doesn’t make any practical sense unless you just completely dig those designs for some reason. And let’s be honest most people don’t.
You've been reported by a few people already. Please stop advocating breaking the law. Most people follow the law here or inquire about what IS legal, which is why there's sections for it.

I've reviewed your posts and majority is telling people to skip it, if you continue you will be banned, you've already been given a warning. You can do what you want to your personal equipment, but advocating for it on a public forum goes against our purpose. If you want to advocate to change the laws or follow legislation, you're more than welcome. Otherwise, if you want to talk about breaking the law, please do that on reddit or somewhere else, not here. We have a lot of local LEO here so it's just stupid to do here. One person thought it would be a good idea to post a manifesto. Try look out for the site, be productive.

The only mag lock I have is on an AR pistol, which needs to be mag locked anyway. My full size AR15 is featureless. And it'll stay that way unless laws change.

The Juggernaut grip works, but when I changed my stock to shorten the LOP, I find that I can't get my hand over the grip anymore, and after I switched over to the B5 fin, it's actually easier to use.

Just wait until June 2027. Don’t waste anymore money on compliance kits. If it’s your first rifle and you need to configure it featureless or whatever that’s fine, just buy the bare minimum to do that (cheapest). If you already have rifles and are building a new one, build it out exactly how you want, and leave the upper detached from the lower. Then just wait.

You would never be busted for this grip unless you were wanted for something else and they want to mail you. JT advertises their hellfighter guns and this grip is California compliant. I'm sure they've done their due diligence with their legal department.

On any AR that I do not have a maglock device, I run this exact grip. For me it's the best one that I found. Still feels natural enough unlike many of the other California compliant grips.

Ok won’t happen again.

That's what I did. Very happy with it. What happens June 2027?

Hogue freedom fighter kit with kingpin or jt hellfighter. Keeps the bolt catch which is a must. Side by side comparison i bet you can't tell the difference of time of reload. Tried every other grip, comp, fixed stock combo you can think of and imho there is nothing out there that is even remotely less inconvenient then the available maglocks out there. Let's be real... what are the chance of chances of having to reload a split second faster with your ar in a life or death situation. Pretty slim to none. Id rather have a more comfortable grip to stay in target in that situation above a split second advantage of a reload.

They're probably counting on a favorable ruling/clarification related to the AIWB case out of Illinois taken up by the USSC - Viramontes v Cook County.
