Juggernaut Tactical featureless AR grip?

With these buttons, it would be interesting to see from someone training with them how much extra time it adds to a mag reload. The 2 button press for me might add a half a second to the cycle.

The next issue becomes stovepipes and double feeds...a deal killer, or at least a PITA with the standard Hellfire kit. I have the Kingpin PAL on one of my rifles and it will work with the BCG locked back, something the JT kit can't do.

I dunno, but I just don't need my stock to move, wouldn't use a flash hider and prefer just a rail wrap to a vertical foregrip. None of those are features I care about and a fin that converts with a simple tool is much more functional to me. I don't have to drill anything or worry about whether I can clear a malfunction and I don't have to press an extra button to reload. I have run a match with a guy that shoots his AR pistol sometimes and have seen him fumble on reloads from the maglock. And he's a really good shooter.

This is one of my main match rifles, it just works. I do need to put the ambi safety back on though lol.

All Sparrow here. Feels right, full access to mag release and ambi safety. Solid grip to hold. Great for bench shooting as that grip doesn't extend down.

Fins are for fish, not rifles.

Since obviously the OP asked about grips *other than* the JT (haha!!) I’ve always been a fan of the Sparrow Dynamics grips.

That also, IMO being able to speed change mags doesn’t warrant a featureless setup, not worth it.

Most people who stick to featureless usually also prefer the fact that we can use our legally obtained and possessed freedom week standard capacity mags.

Yeah that's literally less functional from the handguard to the reciver handle, you are making an aesthetic choice.

One of the best parts about AR-15’s is that they are very customizable. You can just buy a stripped lower receiver aka “the gun” and build it out the way you actually want it from there. Buying a featureless rifle doesn’t make any practical sense unless you just completely dig those designs for some reason. And let’s be honest most people don’t.

You are still talking about aesthetics but a featureless rifle is literally more functional than a maglock with "features". I posted one of my match rifles above, you can clearly see it's missing no function that matters and has more function in fact than the one you posted.

I’d argue the function it’s lacking in that configuration is control, you don’t have a hold on the grip with your thumb like it was designed for.

Yeah that's not how you shoot a carbine, you don't steer with your trigger hand your thumb wrapping around the pistol grip is literally irrelevent it's just more comfortable. You want to minimize the input with your strong hand and you will be steering and pulling and implementing the majority of your pressure with your support hand on the handguard. This guy starts talking about it around 7:45 but the whole video is a good watch.

So why do people put these mag locks and funky looking fin looking things on their grips? I want my magazine to free drop when I hit the release. Bolt locks back last round, drop mag, insert new mag, then hit bolt release to chamber new round. That’s how every AR style rifle I have used works.
