Juggernaut Tactical featureless AR grip?

Anyone on here using these? Seems to me like walking on the razors edge? Anyone know an instance where someone was busted because of these?

I tried one. The biggest issue was I couldn’t manipulate the safety and keep my shooting grip. The best combo I’ve found for practical shooting is the B5 fin and ambi safety.

When you're up on the grip, the web of your hand is at and above the exposed portion / top of the trigger which would satisfy the definition. The DOJ isn't going to says yes or no either way. If you get nailed for that grip, I think you can bet on the DOJ just adding it to the dog pile of other things they are charging you with. I just wish it was in polymer for weight and cost.

I think for muscle memory, you should stick with a fin and just work on manipulating the safety from the strong side. My issue with the grips that simulate the precision one piece stocks, is that you don’t have a one piece stock. So either swap to an SCR lower or stick with a fin. Using this swept style of grip with the AR stock offset will affect your shooting style more than the alternatives.

I’d just use a full fin grip. Those things make it even more difficult for some manipulations and you still need the ambi-safety

It doesn't really matter, you steer with your support hand on the handguard so as long as you are relatively comfortable with the angle it's fine. I'm a fan of the fin that slides into the Magpul miad though

I much prefer JT's Hellfire kit with the Hogue pin lockout. Its about as close as you can get to regular function while remaining compliant.

Plenty of pros and cons using these. I just slapped a whole lot of hockey tape on my juggernaut grip to make it less of a pain in the ass. Small price to pay for keeping your standard mag release. There are no legal issues to speak of, but don't be surprised if they make it an issue in a few years. Or use the Thordsen stock and make your AR look like a mountain bike

Since obviously the OP asked about grips *other than* the JT (haha!!) I’ve always been a fan of the Sparrow Dynamics grips.

I have them on two AR-15s. I’ve never had any problems or issues with them, even from self-appointed Compliance Cops at the range.

No. There’s nothing to get busted for. Since you can only reach the trigger with the web between your thumb and forefinger above the trigger, they are fully compliant.

Take the buttstock off the equally compliant Thordsen stock and you essentially have the same thing:

I just put the Sparrow on my AR and I hate it. The grip angle is just awful for me. I've got a B5 fin grip on the way.

The Exile Machine BackFin seems to "feel better" than the other featureless grips I've tried. I haven't tried a lot but with the ones I have I like this one the best.

Yeah the thumb shelf is nice, that's how long range bolt actions are set up like my MDT chassis so it's not completely weird. And if you go out of state it switches out with a simple tool.

Switch to a Juggernaut Hellfighter kit and keep all the fun features, adjustable stock, forgrip, flash hider, literally takes a second longer to mag change over a standard mag release on a featureless setup.

That also, IMO being able to speed change mags doesn’t warrant a featureless setup, not worth it.

I feel the opposite, I don't need any of the features. the pistol grip is nice to have but a maglock matters to me more than any "features".

With these buttons, it would be interesting to see from someone training with them how much extra time it adds to a mag reload. The 2 button press for me might add a half a second to the cycle.

The next issue becomes stovepipes and double feeds...a deal killer, or at least a PITA with the standard Hellfire kit. I have the Kingpin PAL on one of my rifles and it will work with the BCG locked back, something the JT kit can't do.
