Why was Chad Williams targeting Tesla owners apart from the young woman he shot in the drive-through? He was also shooting random people so it could have been "random", but Tesla/Elon-hate is a very thing these days. I drive a Tesla and we talk about all of this stuff on X.

This doesn't prove he was a per se, but his targets are consistent with ideology and the terrorist ideation we've seen against Elon, Tesla, Tesla employees, Tesla owners, X, etc. These nutbags are STILL trying to paint Elon as a , so yeah it wouldn't surprise me that some among them want to kill Tesla owners. These crazies are STILL "protesting" outside the Tesla diner in Hollywood, with their Elon "" inflatables that do the Sig Heil repeatedly. Forgive me if I have a low opinion of s, especially when someone goes and shoots Teslas and their owners at a charging station that happens to share a lot with an In & Out.

In & Out is consistent with a shooter as well, being a Mormon-owned chain.

It's more about what we've seen over large sample sizes than how one person feels. The anti-Tesla attacks have been everywhere on X, because Tesla-owners report it. It's also on the news when it bubbles up. Have you not heard about ALLLLLL of the Tesla vandalism coming from s? Before this last general election, we had to deal with right-wingers blocking our charging spots at Tesla Superchargers. This is beyond the people shining lasers in the eyes of Tesla employees, still occasionally blocking our chargers, and harassing Teslas on the road.

So yeah, I see Teslas and their owners getting shot and it's natural to add this to the pattern.

True, it's speculation on thin evidence and pattern-recognition, but I admit that it's not much to go on.

Target selection is the whole ballgame here. This F-in asshat didn't know it was a taxi driver and he didn't care because from that distance all he saw was a Tesla, and he put rounds in it before moving on. Don't write it off pay attention to that. That's not random. Random is spraying the crowd. Walking up to a parked Tesla and shooting several rounds through the windshield is a message being sent not a stray hit.

How could he tell the In n out manager was a minority? Anyone shooting up a fast food joint at lunch is going to hit whoever's on the line.

What actually fits the pattern is the anti-Tesla wave. Dealership arsons, molotovs at the Superchargers, Cybertrucks torched, etc. I had woke Karens vandalize my own Tesla and accuse me of being a and that's when I drew the line because they are so deranged.

The ideological direction is obvious: Musk ran DOGE, went MAGA, gutted jobs and put his face on the AI wave that's wiping out white collar work. It woke up a slice of unhinged people decided his cars were fair game.

Do we know why he hated the Tesla? He could just as easily hate liberal EVs as he could Tesla. The anger from many towards EVs and green initiatives is just as loud as the hate towards Musk.

We will all view this through our own lens and make assumptions that fit our world view.
