How Private are Y'all with your CCW?

Man, how old are you? I'm geniunely curious. Are you a youtuber? You strike me as a twenty something, "look at me" type of guy. You do you and i'll do me. I'm not gonna try to sway you and you're surely not gonna sway me.

When I just got my permit several years ago, I told people that were close to me, that I trust. For a while everytime we connected, they would always try to figure out where my piece was, sometimes talking about it out loud at party/social functions. They didn't think about my security and privacy before mouthing off or walking around me trying to figure out where my piece was. Or I gotta worry about them mouthing off to strangers I dont even know, who can set off a chain reaction to multiple people I dont know. Whether I get whistleblown or red flagged, it's not something I want to be in a situation with. Last thing I need is some jack wad telling the police they found out I carry and they are "now afraid".

Now, i'm a bit older, it's nobody's business but mine that I have a CCW. I could care less about the stuff you're talking about. If a gun enthusiast is trying to get their CCW then they can do a simple google search and find it on their own probably faster than I can verbally explain it.
I could be 15 or 55, attacking the man doesn't change the logic of the argument. I barely post on youtube, especially these days, but I am used to some media attention from motorcycle racing.

Really it comes down to unwarranted self-importance, or maybe paranoia. Your close friends and family shouldn't be trying to red flag law you unless you have some serious issues. If you have those issues, I guess I understand why you are so fearful.

Now if you think that you post a pic of you at the range on Instagram and that somehow the boogeyman is gonna take your guns because of that, then that is crossing into paranoid delusional behavior and narcissism. Nobody cares, there are 100,000,000 gun owners and people talking about guns and CCW. You just aren't that important.

Sounds like the issue is that you poorly select the people around you, I've never had any of those experiences with people trying to "figure out where my piece is". You severely overestimate your importance in the world with your fantasies that a random person will go to the cops with 0 evidence and get your guns taken away. The police have a lot more important things to do. Grow up and start living in reality.

I agree with you 100% this is what I was saying multiple times on my reply to him if you want to read that as well. Hahaha he seems too young to comprehend and understand our point apparently
I 100% understand your point that you are scared and fearful that you will antagonize people around you to report you to the police and somehow get your gun taken away. Correct me if I'm wrong, in specific detail. Let's hear it.

Dude what the hell are you talking about? I am not concerned about people reporting me or the authorities taking my gun away. None of that! I am not fearful one anyone legally taking my guns from me. This is why I kept saying you are missing the point! You speak English but can't comprehend I have said this before! Learn to not only read but understand what is being said! I don't want to have to type it again, IN CAPS: YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT AUTHORITIES OR SOMEONE REPORTING TO AUTHORITIES AND HAVE MY GUNS TAKEN AWAY, that is what YOU are talking about. But I didn't say anything about what you're referring to. In the photo below, Did I say anything about me being reported or I was afraid of authorities taking my guns away? God damn dude this will be my last message and I gotta stop making you understand what is being said cause it seems like you're reading it but not trying to understand the point. So Im done, a recap again I just answered a question in this thread. Damn this is like teaching elementary but to an adult.

Right which is why I asked you to clarify whether you were talking about having a CCW license in general or in the moment telling someone right in front of you that you have a gun. You didn't answer and then said you had the same feelings as the guy who said he would be red flagged. So which is it, you are using double speak?

If you have "range buddies" with psychosis maybe you need to do some self reflection and fix that. Napa mental hospital isn't that far away. I am glad I have much more capable friends that won't try to steal my CCW at the range and shoot me like your buddies will do, apparently. I don't have to lie to my friends either, which is nice. Pick some better friends that you don't have to deceive.

I have to admit, the “I don’t want my range buddies to feel for where my gun is holstered and take it from me” fear is a bit wild. I do understand not just blabbing to everyone about your CCW though, you never know it could end up with someone’s psycho roommate or girlfriend who thinks guns are evil and does some crazy 💩 to spite you. I have seen people do some wild things in divorces or breakups out of spite and it’s not totally paranoid to think maybe someone’s ex might think “F- Bobby and all his gun buddies, he only ever spent time with them instead of me and the kids, I’m going to call anonymously and say they threatened to kill me” or something.

I don’t live in fear like this and generally will talk about it with anyone I think is gun friendly or at least neutral, but there are some friends and family who aren’t so I don’t see any reason to let them know.

I get your point, But in my very first statement the answer I gave to this thread is I consider all possibilities even the ones that are 0.0001% that it could happen, whatever that may be. It may be wild to others but it avoids the hassle of taking that 0.0001% and end up happening. however there is a difference between living in fear as you were saying and avoiding the hassle of a situation and dealing with it. Range buddies or not, that 0.0001% is still a possibility no matter how small. Nothing beats dodging a court date you won't be thrilled about is all Im saying. To each their own, I am also not trying to convince anyone to do what I do, I just gave an answer to a question in this thread. It is that simple

Yeah totally. It’s not something you run up to strangers and yell at them, but it’s also not something to be scared of. By this logic cops left and right would be getting red flag law’d because anti gun crazies know they CCW. lol.

99% of this is paranoid or unwarranted self importance. Do we know of anyone that got their guns taken away and lost their CCW because someone found out they had a CCW?

By this logic you should never drive a car, you’re way more likely to die in a car crash than someone magically kill you with your own gun.

Stop living in fear over things you make up in your mind. You’re probably more likely to trip and fall down the stairs

The man cant help himself but shadowbox and build up arguments that arent being said :ROFLMAO:
Thats why my last reply to him was I am done, wont be replying to whatever say lol. By what he said a few mins ago, I'll just surrender my drivers license and always take the elevator 😆😄

My Friends all know and of course the wife. But she carries as well and at this point is probably the better shooter anyway.

Amen!! A wife who loves to shoot is both a blessing and a curse. Our budget is suffering. lol. She feels like her week is incomplete without a trip the Triple A.

Wife and kids only. No one else needs to know . You never know who is anti gun and might want to get you in trouble

She pretty much has to drag me to matches these days. I love that she shoots as much as she does and has reached the level she has(better than me), but I'm honestly at a point where I can only go to the range so much anymore. I have too many hobbies that I enjoy and not nearly enough time.
