Really hate how fixed blade knives can't be concealed here. I would love to carry a small fixed blade in a sheath on my belt. As a result, I pretty much only buy folders.

Incredible that I can legally carry a concealed firearm, but I cannot carry a concealed fixed blade knife.

Tell me about it. Jump through the hoops for a CCW to carry a firearm but can't carry a knife in a sheath on my belt.

Even many pro-2A states have very outdated and illogical laws regarding knives that were passed during bygone eras, either due to public fear campaigns or past problems with knife crimes. Most of the country really needs an overhaul.

Yeah, when I first moved to Tennessee I knew a guy that might have shipped a few to an old friend in California.

I think the law prevents bringing them in the state. But once you have it there it's okay to own in your home, but you cannot carry it or ship/sell to anyone else. Ridiculous, but hey it's California. You can surf and ski the same day, just not with your auto blade.

Don't ask me, I just live here, but there are a few places that will ship with the disclaimer that it's up to the purchaser to know their state's laws.

Okay so here are my Microtechs... Left side starting from the top, LUDT, Gen 2 Combat Troodon, and a Gen 3 Combat Troodon. Right from top, Ultratech merlot, Ultratech death card, Ultratech Bounty Hunter.



The star of this show is in my opinion the lower left, the green gen 3 Combat Troodon which is an incredible OTF auto knife. The action, fit/finish, and lockup are superb. They are all nice knives, they are Microtechs after all, but that one stands above the rest in my opinion.

A couple more. On top the 112 auto elite. On bottom a 110 auto. I'll tell you what, Buck is an old name and sort of an old man's knife by today's standards with all the boutique and tactical stuff out there, but they still make an extremely nice knife and the quality on these, especially considering the price point of roughly $200 and they are still made in the USA - just wonderful knives. Extremely smooth and so pretty, my pics don't do them justice at all.



A few more, a Pro-Tech Godson which is very snappy, kind of aggressive looking. My EDC when I carry an OTF is this well used Microtech Ultratech D/E, and a Cobratech a neighbor gave me as a gift, he's a knife dealer and claimed it was made in USA but... I have a feel for Chineseum and this one is just that, Chinese but evidently assembled here in the states. It's an okay knife but I will probably gift it to someone, I only carry American steel.

I own a couple and really like a lot of Protech knives. Like you said, very snappy. Best folding auto springs I've personally encountered.

Just picked up this KA-BAR, a USN MK1 variant.
I hope to make a better Kydex sheath for it, one without the straps.
I must say that it’s the sharpest blade I’ve seen from them in some time.
