I rigged one of these for under my rear seat post in my Trailboss. I wasn’t comfortable with the cable and this Definitely prevents the quick take.
I also have a in center console combo locking safe for the quick unloading when I’m going to be quick in and out but can’t carry in the establishment but they’re checking

Correct. Union Safe is a vendor to HF. HF currently shows only 2 clamshell boxes 75230 and 75220. (Source.)
Neither is listed on a search of the DOJ Site for Union Safe.

Just remember a lot of homeless people carry around Wire cutters ( cutting holes in chain link fences) so these cables are nothing to cut. A lot of them know about these cable vaults.

In my truck, I have a center console safe.
In my Wifes SS, we had the same dilemma. I had to get creative, I mounted a safe under the rear dash, but accessible from the rear seat passthrough, so she can do it from inside the car.
In my volt, we have so.e dumb cable locked to the pedestal of the front seat.

HF 57999 is listed on DOJs page as you show above and HF states and labels it DOJ approved. 57999 is the larger box for $21.

I drive a Jeep Wrangler 4 door. I installed a sliding, locking vault under the driver's seat. Got it from 4 Wheel Parts.

My driver seat, the front space under the seat is too tight to slide a Lifepod through. The entire thing does fit under the seat. However, will only be accessible from the back seat. Anyone have any other solutions?

Scion tC 2008. Didn't think I needed to add that because it sounded like the dilemma was common enough across vehicle models. Right now I do have a solution but was hoping someone figured something else out that doesn't involve moving to the back seat to disarm. Fortunately it's not something I need to do often.

Secure it in the trunk just run the security cable through some part of the body. May just have to peel liner back to run the cable initially.

If it was a 94 Bronco I could have helped. Somebody else might have figured out the Scion.

Anyone try one of these yet? www.boostedsafe.com I realize it sits in plain sight but it looks pretty secure by using the child seat attachment points.

I have a sling for my dog in the back seats so that would obscure it from view as well. No trunk as I have a station wagon and a Jeep.

The price for it to only be single location use is a deterrent for me. Also, still not sure I’m a fan of it being visible and taking up space. If you ever have to transport people you no longer have a safe.

Lifepod is cheaper, transportable(I use it to fly as well as vehicle), and smaller footprint so that’s direction I always lean towards. Been using it for years without issue.

Nationwide ccw recommended this for what you’re describing. I’d get the largest size as it fits gun + holster together + room for a knife or anything else. Use the cable lock to your car seat if possible.
