Just hold onto it. The height hasn't come yet and if you were buying for a quick buck, you're doing it wrong.
No one really knows. The parabolic rise was certainly unsustainable. I like a few more weeks of data before I'd cut losses (if I had bought at the top). That also depends on how much one invested and how resilient they can be to further drop. I almost always cut anything if it's dropped 20%.Height based on what evicence? I know people want it to go higher, but how does anybody really know it won't drop down to $3,000/oz again? What is really preventing it if the dollar strengthens and treasury yields rise?
In a strange way, I was excited about the run up but didn't really want to sell.
Not that I felt like it would go higher but if I sold it, I'd be out and I kind of want to be in.
Sounds familiar. Remember when silver was $4/oz and gold was <$300? I was buying the hell out of it then and sold about half my silver at this latest peak. I've sold some gold but I'm holding what I have for now, and even buying some gold nuggets...because I like themmanaged to dump pounds of it much closer to the peak. Zero regrets, as I bought most of it back in the late 1990's/early 2000's and paid almost nothign for it.

True, no one truly knows, but the US gov’t isn’t changing its ways and clearly the petrodollar is failing. If the gov’t doesn’t change the direction, which this administration isn’t going to do any time soon if at all, then hyperinflation is the next step and we will see a new rise to power. No one really knows. What’s the current social speculation on how low it will go?The price plummet has begun. The questions now are how far down will they go, and how long will they stay there? I'm sure lots of people will want to buy the dip but will they stabalize the price? I think not
The gold price is crashing primarily due to surprisingly strong U.S. labor data. This resilience has shifted market expectations, leading investors to price in the possibility of Federal Reserve interest rate hikes rather than cuts later in 2026.What’s the current social speculation on how low it will go?
If Russia just sold several tons of gold recently. It's probably because they're going broke from the war with Ukraine.Russia has sold several tons recently, so that’s effected an already shaky gold price. The jobs created will be corrected again in the middle of the month, so I think gold might dip too high $3k, but a lot will need to happen. I believe $4k is the new floor and is getting ready to take off again just like I think $60 is the floor for silver.
That’s correct. They’re being clobbered and their economy is taking a massive hit. Putin is in need of ramping up what he is doing there or he’s going to need to give up. I forget how many years that war is now, but Russia wasnt in a good spot before hand.If Russia just sold several tons of gold recently.
