Question Why do some clubs require residential address for major match reg?

For example, Coastal Classic (SLOAction) - doesn't require residential address for registration. However, Golden Bullet (NCPS) and BELT Escape from Alcatraz (Richmond Action) require residential address for registration, when this is not required for local matches.

Perhaps it's for awards or something but admittedly, I'm somewhat vigilant around putting my PII out there, especially for systems like PractiScore that don't require MFA and/or have other security protocols in place and when I don't know what it will be used for.

Live in an RV, down by the river- have to have a PO Box for mail.
I live in a small town that nobody & no business have a mailbox- though we do have street numbers- we all have PO Boxes inside the little post office that's the size of a large office. Cool deal as you get to catch up chatting with neighbors, ask how Sally's daughter is doing at college, get free advice from the large animal veterinarian. And of course- latest gossip.
