I haven't shot it yet, but cycled it enough that with a little Slip 2000 EWL it's smoothing out nicely.

I think Stevens must have put out a few "presentation grade" stocks in the initial batch Savage imported. The stock wood blank alone would be several times what I paid for the rifle, the OP one looks quite similar... SO gorgeous! Supposedly these shoot very well from the reviews I found, but I could sit and admire these heavily figured Walnut stocks just because they are so nice!
