What're you carrying in this heat?

What holster are you using?
Outlaw holsters IWB light bearing holster. One of the few brands that had any selectable options for the sk with a light that didn’t require a custom order. I switched out the clip for a monoblock clip and couldn’t be happier.

Really? I was seriously looking at shoulder holsters but could not figure a way to hide it, specifically in hot weather. How do you manage?
It’s definitely something to be dressed around. I wear a button up over a t shirt unbuttoned or when I need the extra cover (rare, people don’t look at others too closely lol) partially buttoned or tucked tighter. Imagine Magnum PI but with a t shirt under his Aloha. It certainly helps if the over shirt is a little oversized as it gives a little slack for less printing and all around comfort. I will admit I sacrifice a little speed for this when it’s buttoned but I’m winning style points

Bottle of water. Went to the Padres game yesterday, record setting heat at 95 degrees plus Texas style oppressive humidity.

Taken to my Arizona uniform, loose shorts, sandals and a wife beater shirt. Too hot for criminals right now.

SoCal is absolutely baking right now. Really sucks for you guys
It was hotter in LA yesterday than it was in…Fresno

Over 100… just cooking in the sun

So hot it made the corner of the Velcro start to peel a little

Which county?
Riverside.

So far I have a PCR, Bodyguard 2.0 CC (new spring and guide rod coming), P365 Luxe (.380), and a DWXc. That's probably a good start.

I can't hit a thing with the BG 2.0 at 15 yards so I probably need lots more practice. I know it's not really meant for that distance but as far as I know the test includes that distance.

Once I get the rod and spring in I'll try an indoor range where I can move targets closer and then move them out to 15 yards as I improve.

I may just qual the guns I know I can shoot well and add the BG 2.0 after I can reliably shoot reasonable groups at 15 yards out.

Why the new spring?

BG 2.0

Switching from a G43 to the BG and a Shield X. The BG carries really comfortably, it’s so compact it just disappears. The texture is a little rough on both S7Ws, both are getting some talon grip tape soon so they stop grinding holes in my hip..

When do you carry the Shield X over the BG?
