What weapon light should I attach to my new M&P 2.0 metal carry comp?

I can’t decide what light I want to put on my M&P 2.0 metal carry comp, I have a Xmacro with the TLR sub as my edc and I wanted this new one to be a home defense gun so I didn’t mind a light that sticks out but there’s so many lights out there I can’t pick. The T1 holsters still don’t have a holster for that metal carry comp that’s light bearing if I ever decided to take it out in the winter but they do for the new TLR 7 HLX.

What looks the best ?

Surfire X300 (and what variant is best?), streamlight TLR 1 HL-X, or streamlight TLR 7 HL-X

I like the TLR 7 HLX with the m&p. Just about flush, great light, and won't require oversized holster for carry

Nice gun! I know it's not the same, but I have the TLR-1HL on my M&P 2.0 10mm and it fits fine in the T1C MSP Flex Pro holster, which has retention at the light. It allows me to carry all my guns in the same holster using the same light. (Note that's a 4Bros holster in the pic that I got just for the M&P, but I prefer the T1C MSP Flex Pro.)

I'd go Streamlight TLR-1 HL or the SF X300 as both have the most holsters available.. the TLR-1 HL is also around $140 shipped lately and a great deal

Streamlight TLR-1 HL and X300s have been the most popular, and for good reason: modularity and an abundance of holsters (both IWB and OWB) to fit those lights specifically.

I myself, use a TLR-1 HL for nearly a decade now. No issues.

Offhand light is usually another Streamlight, ASP brand, or something rechargeable and easy to replace.

I like and have multiples of both lights. Surefire is a bang up brand but behind the times in the lighting world. But who cares. Their products are durable and they are a standup company. If I had a duty weapon, it would have an x300 variant on it for sure.

On the other hand the tlr7 hlx had amazing power for a light its size. And the rechargeable cell is a nice modern touch. The compact size is what makes it.

I say the streamlight for a dedicated carry gun and the surefire for a range/class/home defense gun.

If you go for the surefire mane sure you select the variant with the features that’s fit YOUR need. There is no one size fits all.
