What recommendations on reloading powders??

Whats up fellow enthusiast,

New to reloading. Want to get your input on powders that yall recommend for 308 reloading for precision shooting.

Vihtavouri N140 and Hodgdon Varget get pretty heavy use in between my loads (7.62x54r and 308). Vihtavouri and Hodgdon post their data on their site too so I'd suggest drilling through their sites and seeing which has the most overlap with the bullets youre interested in the most.

Varget- check other reloading forums on what lots to avoid as some have confirmed inconsistency with specific lots

Varget used to be rock-steady from lot to lot. Last 4 or 5 years there has been some variability, but that just means some load work-up needed. No big deal since we should always confirm a new lot and the load.

varget is definitly a good one. If your after precision I recommend you also get the hornady OAL gauge so you can tailer the cartridge COL to your rifle, get something to anneal your case, and check out quick-measure for accurate powder metering.

Bought tons of the Nosler CC's when their blemished "seconds" go on sale. They're pretty darn accurate, it's always difficulty reading the wind at 1K that holds my scores back. No problem at 600yds.
