30+ years ago they made sense. I was on a CH46 Helicopter Insertion Company, but the boat guys used duct tape and paracord as a Magpul because cold, wet hands cannot grab slick metal mags easily out of ALICE Gear pouches.

Agreed!!

I always used coupled HK MP5 mags, so they were easy to grab out of a pouch.

My partner preferred a CAR-15 and he did the duct tape/para trick with his mags. This was late 90’s/early 00’s, right when Magpul was founded.

Nowadays, they’d look like a spoiler on a Civic, haha!!

You'll notice the design is totally different on the real race cars. The street car is 90% for looks, you won't be driving it to where the downforce is going to matter unless you're at Laguna Seca.

I'll take your word for it! My Model 3 Performance came with a small spoiler. I don't know if it does much but it looks cool and it's nice flagship model perk.
