Velocity Ammo Issues Again? 🤬

I ordered Federal American Eagle 124gr AE9AP, but the ammunition I received today is Federated Ordnance. WTF?!

I actually ordered two cases, wonder what the other one will be?

They haven't shipped my order from like 4 months ago....

I've only ordered from them once but they shipped my order almost immediately and I got the right ammo a week later.

Probably just gonna avoid them in the future to keep that 100% track record.

I ordered several cases last year, did not have any issues. Seems things started going south in 2026

I had one good Velocity in January of this year and then started hearing about the bait and switch, oversold ammo from others afterwards. Sucks to hear that a previously reputable site has gone downhill.

We shall see how they address the issue. They can win back my patronage with a "so sorry for the mistake, as a symbol of our gratitude for having you as a customer, you may keep this case and we will ship out another of the correct type right away"

My prediction is that you’ll wait several weeks for a response, and the response will be crediting whatever the difference is between the two brands. If they hadn’t already sent it to you, I would’ve expected them to cancel the order because they sold what they did not have ready in stock for shipment.

But if they do send you the right order and let you keep what you got, that would be pretty dang cool

Yea, I wouldn't accept that deal. They can't make me keep what I didn't order.

They still show it In Stock and $300 out the door for American Eagle is actually a decent deal.

I've heard so many recent horror stories about velocity ammo, I actually used to use them too, but all the recent stories are pretty sketch

How do I return an order?
Unfortunately, under most circumstances we are unable to take returns on ammunition once it has left the warehouse and is in the hands of the public because of liability reasons. However, if you happened to have received the wrong product or if your product is damaged let us know at info@velocityammosales.com. We will work quickly to correct our mistake or replace your product if possible.

Your claim must be reported to Velocity Ammo within 7 days from receipt of the shipment. Any claims outside the 7 days will be considered void and the sale will be final.

It’s sad to see how far they’ve fallen, I’ve had good experiences with them as well. But my last order was somewhere around February, before so many people started having problems with them. With other vendors still around like Wild Horse Ammo, I don’t see any reason to take the chance with the Velocity Ammo of today.

My last good order with them was for a case of PMC 556 in January. Everything after that either took forever or was faked inventory that I ended up cancelling in frustration. I've sworn off them since March

I haven't ordered from them in months. Last order took nearly 2 months to get to me and half of it was cheaper crappy ammo I didn't order. Wild Horse has been my go to since then.

I got the rifle ammo order sent after I called, but I only got like half of what I ordered and the rest was swapped for another brand of 223 so whatever. I had an order of 9mm FMJ also and he said he would mail it out next week. 3 months later still waiting

I called them and they were pretty cool about a return/refund.
