I bought a pair of Peltor 500s with the gel cups back in 2019 and I’m looking to buy another as an upgrade/kids/spare pair. I really like them, and only thing I didn’t like was the hard headband, which was easily fixed with a cover. I also have a pair of Otto NoizeBarriers which are great when I want in-ear protection, or to double up (which also works great).

So, if I don’t need communications, shoot pistols 99% of the time, and prioritize comfort and noise reduction, is there any over-the-ear protection significantly better than the Peltors? Sordin Supreme Pro X?
