Anyone want to meet up this September for competition? Here is my current schedule so far:

- OhShoot! IDPA @ Prado 9/13/26
- NRG 9/26/26 (pending enrollment)
- SWPL 9/27/26 (pending enrollment)


Hopefully one day we can all meetup & squad up when all our schedules align!

Sounds like a blast. I love swpl and have done it a handful of times. I haven’t shot IDPA yet but I’d be open to it.

Funny enough, the pressure to perform well is all in your head. As long as you're safe most folks out there will be very supportive. Once you go to a few matches and make some friends, that's when they start talking smack :ROFLMAO:.

I tend to do better when I have better shooters on my squad. Then I have folks to pick their brain and watch what they do. If I'm one of the better shooters it's really hard for me to get it moving. Iron sharpens iron!


I'll be at Yolo Targetmasters this weekend, CAPSL next weekend and NCPS the following weekend.

For those shooting IDPA, you may want to look into GPA. It's a combo of USPSA/IDPA and the rules are very simplified.
 
Went to my third NRG shoot today. Getting more comfortable overall. Slight improvements but always room for more. A couple more Mikes than last time but still fun.

Was on Squad 3 this time.
 
The weather was thankfully much better this time, I remember a year ago or so when there were just weeks on end when the weekends specifically got hot. Hopefully that doesn't happen the reminder of this summer.

One of my favorite things about competing is that the more you learn about yourself and your current proficiency, the more you notice the things you still need to work on
