Union City PD CCW - how was it??

Good evening all, I am inquiring with the CalGuns community regarding Union City PD & their CCW application process.

It seems pretty clear and is laid out well on their website. I have a few general questions, for anyone who’s gone through their process:

1. The Psych exam - curious what that consisted of? As I understand it one must schedule, pay for & see “Core Psychological Services” the UCPD contracted provider. How in-depth was the exam? I ask because I am ambivalent about this; I am seen by the VA for post traumatic stress injuries. I am “stable”, I have never been placed on a 5150 psych hold, nothing like that. I am actively working through my feelings about deployments & what I experienced. From what I have gathered thus far, a history of PTSD is NOT necessarily something they’d disqualify one for.

2. Length of process - Wondering what, in total, the duration of the UCPD process usually is? I have seen some municipal PDs that are still taking 6mos or longer

3. As I understand it, from what I am reading on the UCPD website, a pistol red dot would not be prohibited. I would be requesting to have the following on my permit: S&W Airweight J frame with crimson Trace laser grip, S&W M&P Shield 9mm with Holosun red dot & lastly my Ruger P-89, which I utilize with iron sights

I would be grateful for your feedback, experiences, anecdotes. If you are apprehensive about posting it here, please DM me. I have a “clean” background, I was a career military guy, have a federal Security Clearance & work as a Firefighter/Paramedic. Nevertheless, I still have some questions about the UCPD process.
