Two Colt Revolvers added to the roster 4/22/25

I have been trying to convince myself I need a woods gun and had my eye on the anaconda. Now I am looking more closely at the Kodiak. I would love to get my hands on one

Don’t throw rocks at me but a SW model 69 isn’t a bad choice for something you’re gonna carry around.

I ended up picking up the Grizzly late last year when Colt was doing online rebates. As someone who already owned a Python and an Anaconda, these guns (the Grizzly and Kodiak) are identical (Grizzly/Python, Kodiak/Anaconda) except for the ported barrels and the unfluted cylinders. In fact, the owner's manual that came in the box with my Grizzly is the Python manual. They couldn't even bother to reprint the manual with the different name 😆.

If you like the look, buy one. I would say the same thing for the base Python and Anaconda as well. The Grizzly/Kodiak adds a little bit more sex appeal and I really like mine.

If you have the money to do so, buy one while you can. The base Pythons and Anacondas probably aren't going anywhere, but who knows how much longer these Grizzly and Kodiaks will be around for.
