“Then your light shall break forth like the morning, Your healing shall spring forth speedily, And your righteousness shall go before you; The glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭58‬:‭8‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Seems pretty fitting for their theme.

I almost won one of the RCR's on ebay for a solid price, but got outbid in the last 5 seconds! Looks like a great optic choice.

It’s kind of a mailbox but works great
Yeah, somewhere in between the more traditional open emitters and the full mailbox like the COA etc. I'm moving towards closed emitter for carry guns, makes life so much easier not having to spend all the extra time cleaning the lens of the open emitter every day. Still use open emitter for competition because the window size.

Yeah all mine are closed. Even with the closed every other day I notice tons of lint and dust just appearing from nowhere. I imagine with open it gets dirty constantly

Question: are Trijicons worth the premium? My only experience with their products is a few rounds through an ACOG on someone’s AR, which I really liked. But everything they make seems to cost a lot more then competing products.

Yup, the difference though it the closed takes like 2 seconds to wipe off. Open, not so much since the back of the lens is recessed. It's not dramatic, but closed it much easier for sure.

They make (mostly) great optics but I’d have a hard time telling you the value is really there vs Holosun etc. That said I have an SRO and would like to try the RCR and RMR HD.

Either brand can do well or have issues but if I need to go to war or put my life on the line I’m using Trijicon or EOTech. I do really like my holosun’s

Yep I’d probably be more inclined to run Trijicon or EoTech for duty. That said, plenty of Holosun, Vortex, etc seeing combat in Ukraine.

There are some deficiencies in their lineup though. For instance I’d like to see the Auto brightness tech from the RMR HD trickle down to the rest of the lineup. I’m waiting to see if a better version of the RMRcc comes out before I cut my P-01 for a dot.

RCR very mailbox vs RMR HD. RMR HD has issues with the seal and battery life. I have a few of them and am actively sending one back right now for service. Trijicon service btw is great. IME anyways. That being said, i run a Holosun on my usual carry because the RMR HD hangs over the front and caused ejection problems. I did NOT like the RMR cc. Had one and if i feel like I HAVE to have something smaller, Holosun it is

Absolutely not, the holosun EPS is a much better choice for every reason from price to window clarity to bulk. And warranty.

Can confirm Holosun has a good warranty. I needed it, their 507k x2 died on me mid shot!!! Got a new one about a month or two later.

Asking this is like asking is a Porsche 911 worth it? To some people yes. Will a Camry drive you there too? Yes. Will a 3 series BMW do it too with luxury for half the cost? Also yes.

But they aren’t a 911.

Not the best analogy because the trijicons won't actually work better and in many cases work worse, like my buddy is always complaining that his SRO has a double dot if the sun is shining wrong. I've known quite a few people that had trijicons fail and they did NOT get it back within a month, the warranty sucks. They are all electronic, they can all fail. I've sent back one holosun and one Vortex, the vortex took a week, the holosun took a month.

That's a small sample size vs the hundreds of thousands used by the military. I would like to see my Holosun survive a 55 mph motorcycle wreck like that lol

I think that would be a more apt comparison for say a Glock vs an Atlas. Maybe it applies for high end glass on scopes, but dots we are comparing here all effectively do the same thing.

Porsche certainly isn’t known for their durability vs an econobox.

Porsches are quite reliable with many from decades ago still running well.
