Thats exactly what it is delusional. The market is showing what guns are worth because they arent selling. There are loads of listings sitting there for months. Sellers are delusional and not accepting what the market it telling them.
Ive had guns sit for months in the marketplace and eventually sold for asking price. It just takes the one buyer. And theres always that one buyer that comes around.

I had a guy on here agree to meet for a pistol with the agreed price, got to the ffl and then offers me $200 less. I told him fck no and hope he didnt just waste my time. He said he wanted to give it a shot and bought it for original agreed price.
Had to respond to a fellow Bammer. I've had this happen with high end fishing rods once or twice. I started letting people ahead of time I would not negotiate at the point of sale. Hasn't happened since. Roll Tide.

Sure it can happen, but anyone can clearly see just by looking at the classified section, that it isnt the norm or realistic to expect that.
But who decides whats realistic? If the gun sells whether in a day or 1 year thats up to the seller to keep it where its at or not.

I think its more this post was about not wanting to deal with "low ballers"

Post high=get low ballers
Post Low=get low ballers
Hold firm=get low ballers

The "I know what I got crowd" get very sensitive when people offer less.

"Love how the “have nots” tell the people that “have” what to do with their personal property!" Quoting a different member, but agree 100%

Well, most of the high/overpriced guns do not sell at all or at least until the seller comes back down to earth and lowers the price. Your experience may not be the norm as reflected in the fact that there are so many ads in the classifieds that sit for months and never sell ever or if they do its because the seller lowers the price.

Well, if their "personal property" is so valuable why are the "haves" trying to get rid of it? Both perspectives are important. More often times the seller doesnt dictate the actual selling price. I know this from decades of PPT transactions as a seller and buyer.

The market does, both seller and buyer have to agree. Sometimes there are niche products where you have to find the right buyer willing to pay but most of these guns they're just overpriced and not wanted. Seller sitting on it for months and years is just delusional. I don't think I've ever took longer than a month or two to sell a car or gun or bike

The right buyer is correct. Theres always a right buyer for everything though. Not sure about the not wanted though, otherwise they wouldnt sell ever. Its not delusion if it sells eventually.

Yeah they sell after the price is lowered... haha. if you took years to sell it you lost out on so much to inflation and opportunity cost you really got wrecked on the sale. Time is money after all.

Not true. First pistol i sold this year took over a year to sell. And sold for asking price. Im not hurting for money, so waiting for the right buyer wasnt an issue. Good things come to those who wait.
