Guns not on the Roster are not 'illegal'
The Roster is not about 'safety'
Guns are put on the Roster after a $200 fee; there are no 'implied' entries

Current:
The Roster is online at https://www.oag.ca.gov/firearms/certified-handguns/search

In 2024 and before
The Roster is enforced through the DROS Entry System software at CA FFLs
CA FFLs may not sell off-Roster guns to 'just anyone';
Some people are exempt...

Bummer, I see the S&W Mode 10 (10-14) is once again set to expire from the list.

Not sure how California worries so much about what was once the most common handgun in the country? I suppose S&W could paint them pink to make the feel more friendly, but maybe not. Wifey has an old Lorcin L-24 with a grip that color, and that too is now a taboo metal tool in Kalifornia. Gun saved her life during the Rodney King Riots when somebody who was having mental health crises over current events tried to carjack her at a filling station in North Long Beach.

"Set to expire" doesn't necessarily mean it will expire. S&W can renew.
