Staccato warranty update

This is great, especially for those in California but it's sad that it basically took the equivalent of mass bullying to make them do what they should have done from the beginning.

The two things that cross my mind more immediately...
1.) Does this impact their pricing?
2.) Do they maintain the level of service that came with their warranties previously?

As a side note, I am hoping Bul Armory decides to get with the program and updates their 1 year warranty.

They laid out some pretty reasonable exclusions. Glad they caved to what the people asked for. It's only fair at the price point for the guns.

Below is their statement along with the image from OP.

Staccato 2011 today announced an important expansion of its Lifetime Warranty on handguns. Effective immediately, the warranty follows every Staccato firearm for its lifetime, regardless of where it was purchased or how many owners it has had.

“Lifetime should mean lifetime. The warranty should follow the firearm, not stop when ownership changes. Our customers invest in Staccato because they expect lasting support and performance. We intend to stand behind every Staccato we have built, support every owner who relies on it, and earn that trust for life.” Buck Pierson, CEO of Staccato.

The warranty covers eligible defects and failures, including:

Issues affecting function or accuracy
Cracked frames, slides or barrels
Broken thumb/grip safeties, slide stops, ejectors, extractors or grips
Coating delamination caused by a factory preparation or application issue
Factory blending required to correct contact hot spots
Normal wear items are not covered under warranty. These include springs, magazine followers, and coating wear caused by holster contact or hard use. Damage or malfunctions caused by aftermarket parts are also excluded.

Staccato may repair non-covered issues for a fee. When parts must be replaced, Staccato will use factory components. All claims remain subject to inspection and Staccato’s final coverage determination.

This lifetime warranty applies only to Staccato-branded firearms. The single-stack Staccato C and the original 4.15-inch Staccato P are also included because STI released them as Staccato models.

Legacy STI firearms are not included, but we will repair them for a fee.

Complete warranty terms and claim instructions are available at staccato2011.com/warranty.

Customers who have already registered their gun with Staccato do not need to update their warranty online; the updated warranty terms take effect immediately for existing handgun registrations.

Customers who purchase a pre-owned Staccato must re-register under their name using this link: https://staccato2011.com/activate-warranty

Ironically, i sent my XC in for an extractor issue, they did not charge me.
I feel like this is the same thing they have already been doing.

It's great that my Staccato P is now covered since I bought it off a LEO. But a little too late for the used HD 3.6 that I was looking at and passed on because I wanted a warranty. Could have saved me 500 dollars now I guess I'll have to buy it new.

Bul armory knows how long until their product breaks. Warranty is perfect for their quality lol

I’m assuming this in response to the Bul Armory portion? Have you had issues with their guns?

Im pretty glad its nice to have warranty on expensive guns so good on them especially for cali since most staccatos are bought second hand here

I went with a new beretta specifically because the warranty and rebate made it way cheaper than buying used. Not transferable I think

I also bought a beretta when they had the rebate and before the excise tax but ended up selling it to get a staccato 😭

For what Staccato charges for a production gun you should get a coupon for a second gun free.

Ooh, I might be, any recommendations? Haven’t paid much attention to Beretta outside their shotguns
92FS or M9A1, depending on your personal preference in terms of appearance. There's very few models on the roster, but arguably the best one overall is the M9A1. But if you prefer the classic Hollywood look, then go 92FS.

Wild cards would be the Inox and Brigadier models. The Brigadiers are great, but they do feel very slightly different when you shoot them compared to the regular 92FS/M9.
