Seeing some FFLs showing that they have a bunch of the CA Echelons available to DROS now, so I'm sure we'll start to see the videos in the next few weeks after folks start bailing them out of jail and start reverse engineering it.Anybody removed the mag disconnect? I'm wondering if it's going to effect fitment with aftermarket grips.
Compact or regular echelon? Is gear up always available through SA or its promotional?(SoCal) RIFLE GEAR -- I just got the email today and confirmed on the website, the Echelons are in stock ($599).
Up until yesterday Walther PDP's were in stock as well ($649) although I just checked again today, and they have sold out.
Regular, 4.5”. Compact not expected for another couple months. Nothing about gear up packages yet in CA, but looking around what’s in other states, seems like the gear up is always available.Compact or regular echelon? Is gear up always available through SA or its promotional?
I remember off roster they were about $1200-$1500 when they first released; maybe $1000 at lowest if seller was having a hard time. How much are you guys seeing retailers sell for now for the California model?thank god. all the resellers here kicking their feet right now
I'm not sure what pistol you're looking at but the Echelon definitely don't have a high height over bore. It's similar to glock. This is one of those guns you should test before buying. Barrel over bore is so high most people arnt ready for that kinda recoil.
I hear mixed things about the Hellcat. If you go that route, I highly recommend you really test the gun. Get a good number of rounds through it. If you end up liking it, and it seems reliable, get a second one. Proof it, keep the round count low, and then carry it.I cant decide if I want the 4.0 or the hellcat osp :/
I normally carry my shield and dislike carrying my xd9 or glock 19. But I really like how the echelon looks
Why its not good? I thought alot of people like the hellcatI hear mixed things about the Hellcat. If you go that route, I highly recommend you really test the gun. Still cheaper than going to Disneyland!!It’s not “you guys” that I hate, it’s the California Department of justice. There is a “gray area “ when it comes to selling off guns.
I paid roughly $699 for mine. After DROS, taxes and transfer fees, expect to be somewhere in the $850-$900 range. You might get lucky and find it on sale somewhere. But I wouldn’t expect that to be anytime soon.
Oh, what’s this “gray” area supposed to be?Still cheaper than going to Disneyland!!![]()

When Leo sell off roster, are we allowed to keep the normal mags that it comes with or we have to get 10 rd mags onlyI have had a shop say that there can be a certain level of scrutiny depending on the department that a LEO has to deal with, especially if there are multiple sales and profit being made. This was mentioned because of the price i happened to get an off roster for.
Another shop asked me if I was LEO when selling an off roster gun to someone....never been asked that before. Not sure why they needed to know.
Could be gun shop FUD could be true....doesn't seem too far out of reach of reality though.
You cannot receive or buy magazines with more than 10 rounds. When Leo sell off roster, are we allowed to keep the normal mags that it comes with or we have to get 10 rd mags only
I do notice alot of people selling off their hellcat pros thoI can only speak from my short experience renting the Hellcat Pro....I thought the trigger wasn't as good as the triggers on my XD9, XDM Elite, and definitely not as good as the trigger on my M&P 2.0 10mm.
Plus, during the same visit, I rented a PDP and a Canik and the triggers on those were much better as well.
It seemed more difficult to get right groups with it than the other rentals I tried that day.
Again, just my short experience with it.
