Shield X vs BG 2.0?

Curious now that I've shot the shield X. What's been your experience between the recoil impulse between Shield X vs BG 2.0?

I’ll jump in here. I find the BG a little softer shooting than the X, but they’re pretty close. The BG is really flat shooting for how small and lightweight it is, I’m guessing that’s the very low bore axis in action? Accuracy is better on the X, the BG is surprisingly close though, and I’m growing accustomed to the wider rear sight picture, it’s not a problem for me. I prefer 3 dot sights in every case, but the BG setup is very useable. I’ve already bought some tru-glo 3 dot sights for my X, just gotta get them installed. S&W sights are crazy tight..

380 is definitely a bit more expensive, but I don’t plan to use the BG as a range toy beyond a few mags a month to stay sharp with it.

Didn't realize your P365 was in 380. Makes much more sense now.

I never shot the BG. Only held it in a gun store side by side with an X. I was trying really hard to not go into the 380 realm just to keep ammo consistent.

Took my BG 2.0 to the range again over the weekend and shot 220 more rounds through it for a total of 550 total rounds through it since I bought it.

The little mf’er gets hot af quick when shooting quick/running drills. I did notice heat radiating down from the slide into the trigger group.

It may be me but I feel like the grip texture has worn down a bit making it hard to grip/purchase when hands are sweaty.

Overall, it’s my main carry at the moment with my shield x second in line.

I have a p365-380. It ran circles around the BG2.0 that I also had. Jump into .380. it’s fun, what’s one more caliber…

for sure it should just based on physics/weight. But, the P365 feels strangely positioned. It's basically the weight and size of a compact 9mm so it's hard to tell who it's for exactly. I could 100% see it being a good defensive choice for someone who can't or is not able to use a lot of support hand strength to grip the gun and wants or needs a lower recoil impulse in an acceptable self defense caliber less violent than 9mm (people of smaller stature, those who are old or arthritic, etc.).

I feel like the BG 2.0 Carry Comp is pretty undefeated for its size and weight category versus shootability.

It works great for me. I have an 80x too. It’s quieter to shoot, softer to shoot, and I don’t care that it’s only a .380. Shooting 9mm out of something p365 size is not pleasant for me. Everyone’s different.
