Took my kid out to Angeles Shooting Range over the weekend for his second formal handgun class with ITTS, a long-running and well-known training school here in SoCal. He had an absolute blast, and it was great seeing him back out there learning from such solid instructors. Topics covered included malfunction clearances, single-handed shooting with both primary and support hand, positional shooting like kneeling and prone, and engaging multiple steel targets. Sharing a few AI-generated snippets based on the actual photos with Uncle Scotty and the awesome crew.
While it was definitely a proud dad moment for me, being part of a group class really seemed to elevate his learning and overall enjoyment. The camaraderie, the adrenaline of a little competition, and even the pressure of performing in front of peers all made it a priceless experience.
