Security at LA Fair?

Calguns used to have a list of places where we could post security measures at certain venues... like the Monterey Aquarium or the Disney Hall.

I looked, but didn't see a running list here.

I'm going to the LA County Fair. Anyone know if they are just checking bags, using metal detectors, other?

And mods, that list was super helpful.

+1 on a running list.

I frequent concert, music venues; sports complexes, and comedy clubs often and have found certain entrances to a single venue can be more secure than others.

Also, I take public transportation and I know L.A. Metro stations are beginning to implement metal detectors in preparation for the Olympics and World Cup.

Richskie, as I understand it, public transit is most likely a common carrier situation. You may want to keep that in mind.

If someone has direct knowledge of the fair situation, I am still interested. Otherwise, I will move forward so advised.

CA Fairgrounds are all going to be no go zones. Policy document. I would suspect they have the resources in place to enforce this.

Onsite Magnetic Scanner​

The Aquarium utilizes a low-frequency magnetic scanner during guest entry. This is not an X-ray machine and is safe for all guests and staff. This system is designed to reduce unnecessary bag checks and enhance the safety of all guests. All guests are required to cross over the scanner as they enter.

OC fair definitely has you walking through metal detectors, I believe LA fair is same as fights already break out there.

LA Fair does have magnetometers, although I watched for a few minutes and saw absolutely no one get pulled for secondary inspection.

I'm curious to know why the newer more technological do dads don't false alarm on buckles and keys. I assume it has something to do with the ferric content of gun quality metal. Can anyone shed some light on this?
