Can anyone provide a link to a video showing full assembly and disassembly of a Springfield TRP Operator full rail model that is accurate? There are thousands listed but I am looking for one from a reputable source.

Hi, for mine, all I did was cut down a paper clip to insert into the guide rod to capture the spring tension. Similar to what you see in the video, however, I insert the paper clip and lock the guide rod before removing the slide from the frame. I don't do the whole "use the edge of the table," thing.
To further simply it, you can just buy a Dawson Precision tool less guide rod.

I have a non-operator TRP and it's interesting how different the breakdown procedure is for such a similar gun.

Thanks of the help on this. The tool that came with the gun required a modification. It was not a right angle and it was too long to slide through the gap. I fixed it. Pics are of the original

I simply bought a bag of paper clips when I first got my TRP and put a pair of pliers in that bag. Figured it was easier than keeping track of a tiny tool that could be easily lost.

I am huge Springfield fan but it’s a foul ball for the company to not have provided the exact tool needed for extracting the guide rod. No need one should need to improvise a paper clip. The angle and length of the tool sent shows an oversight in QC.
