Under Penal Code § 26230(a)(9), it is strictly illegal to carry a concealed weapon into
any bar or restaurant that serves alcohol, including their connected parking lots. The old loophole allowing carry in the dining area of a standard restaurant that happened to sell beer or wine is gone. If the business serves alcohol on-site for consumption, it is a prohibited "sensitive place".
