Scat identification

Can anyone tell me what type of animal is this? I found a few of these on a hiking trail but not sure which animal it's from. It's brown with fruits. The ends are flat, not pointy like most carnivores. It could be from an omnivore.

My best guess (honestly, I’m not trying to be funny), is coyote crap, and he’s got a bit of diarrhea going on, or it’s been rained on, and/or stepped on.

Hard to tell in that condition. Many critters eat manzanita.
