CCW Santa Clara County CCW Thread

Not sure if this was mentioned in previous threads, but I did a CCW modification yesterday and found out there is now a 1 handed draw & shoot.

"Drawing from the holster and utilizing only the strong-side hand, the shooter will fire 5 rounds in 15 seconds."

Easy but just a heads up for anyone doing their proficiency qualification soon.
Yeah that caught me by surprise on my renewal. Not a big deal but had to step up lol
 
Where did that change come from? I did my renewal last month (different agency) and they has us fire using off hand only. Hadn't done that drill in 10 years of CCW.

Qualification Course, (Minimum qualification of 25/30 rounds. Standard B-27, 8-Ring
15-yard line Drawing from the holster the shooter will fire 5 rounds in 20 seconds.
7-yard line Drawing from the holster the shooter will fire 5 rounds in 15 seconds, twice.
5-yard line Drawing from the holster the shooter will fire 5 rounds in 10 seconds, twice.
5-yard line Drawing from the holster and only utilizing strong side hand, the shooter will fire 5 rounds in 15 seconds.
The pdf was updated on January 5th this year.
 
Modification timeline:

Applied 6/9, approved 6/30. Appointment scheduled for 2 weeks from now. Most time slots are showing "full"
 
I wouldn’t worry. The lady who works there is very efficient and helpful. You can contact them if you start to get anxious

Just need to wait for 24 hours for me to choose my date and time to pick up the new card

choose as close to your expiration as possible. new card will be issued for 3 years from date of issuance
