Question S&W M&P 2.0 9mm trigger upgrade

Has anyone in the group upgraded their S&W M&P 2.0 trigger assembly? I'm not real keen on the factory's spongy trigger pull. I'm looking at the MCarbo trigger kit vs the Apex system (which is much more costly).
Any thoughts and recommendations are appreciated.

Wow, had no idea the MCarbo was so budget friendly. Honestly, never used or heard of them tbh but I do see they give you a set trigger weight. I have an apex kit and love it. More expensive but the trigger is smooooth and gives you weight adjustability with the multiple springs provided.

What’s the purpose of the pistol? Range gun? Self-defense? If self-defense, you don’t want to drop the weight too much. If you were to use it, the “hair trigger” theory can be used.

Just their standard enhancement kit. I don't own an M&P, but I had an Apex in an old G19, and also currently in my FNS-9. They've always been a solid company with good reviews.

The Apex for the 2.0 is top 2 striker fired trigger for me. #1 is the Agency Arms trigger with Apex FSS kit on my 1.0 so really not that far apart haha.

You have a lot more tunability with the 1.0 due to the trigger bar loop tuning but that also means it's exponentially harder to install and tune vs the 2.0.

I currently use an apex duty and carry kit on my M&p 2.0 core optic 9mm, but I use the factory sear spring which is not as heavy as the apex spring. I recommend the kit vs the factory hinge trigger or the new mod trigger as it is spongy and some what gritty for me vs apex which is night and day. Install for apex is moderate as toughest part was lining the trigger face with factory bar. And changing striker block is much simpler with core optic slide then standard slide which requires punching out rear sight.

When I was experimenting years ago on my 1.0, I noticed this as well. My 5" PC is a range toy so I played with the combination of springs and got it down to around 2.5lb trigger pull using factory spring with all apex parts. Love the way it feels. If only wish the apex trigger was adjustable though.

I finally purchase and installed the Apex S&W M&P Curved forward set trigger kit. I used the duty/carry set up. Major improvement!!

+1. Not for an M&P9 2.0 [holding out for a 2.0 Metal to get on the roster ), but I do have a kit for a Shield and several Glock trigger shoes. Apex makes good stuff.

My same sentiments. Been holding out for the metal to hopefully hit, but have a 1.0 PC 5" ported as well as a standard 4.25" assembly. Have an apex Forward set kit in it and don't really want to go through doing all of it again on a 2.0...unless it's the metal & I can use my PC slide still
