Ruger LCP Max need help with Mag Disconnect

Hopefully not to long of a post. Was putting in the MCarbo kit in my Ruger LCP Max 380 following their videos which are very good. But somehow fouled up putting the trigger in so when pulling the trigger, no movement. When taking apart to correct my mistake the Mag disconnect, spring and pin came out. Looking everywhere Youtube, etc. cannot find any info on how to reinstall. Driving me nuts which is a very short drive. Any help would be appreciated.

Last two show the mag disconnect pushed up (butter knife in place of mag) and you can see the spring, etc.

In the next week my Galloway Aluminum Trigger will arrive and I can try to take more pics during disassembly if needed.

If the spring falls out of the mag disconnect, which sounds like what happened to you, lay it flat on its “back” with both spring arms laying flat.

It looks like one spring arm is longer by a fraction, yours may be equal length. Just reporting what mine looks like.

The shorter spring arm side rest into the metal mag disconnect part cutout. The longer spring arm side will rest against pistol polymer frame.

Gently hold /squeeze slightly the spring and disconnect together as you wiggle it back into the frame and use a small punch to line up hole so you can reinstall the pin.

Reassemble the rest of the trigger housing like usual.

I mis informed or typed wrong info. The gun functions fine with the kit except that the mag disconnect or mag safety does not function so the gun can fire with or without mag inserted. Again, my IA said no to altering it.
"No altering it" would likely include swapping triggers even IF the aftermarket trigger allowed the mag disconnect to function.
Put all the stock parts back on it and your problem is solved.

So I am picking one of these up in 10 days and would like to take out the magazine disconnect. Any issues with the firearm in doing so?

i just took my trigger disconect out on my lcp max and the trigger doesnt spring back after you pull it, what did i do wrong
Are you expecting the trigger to return fully forward after pulling the trigger but not cycling the slide?
The trigger normally won't return forward until the slide has been cycled.
This is true regardless of if the gun has a magazine disconnect mechanism or not.

This black text on gray is extremely difficult to read on a phone and probably not much better on a PC. Is the black text intentional?

I am seeing black on white background.
It seems to be the forum default as I never changed anything.
I certainly did not use any font or color tags to make it different.
You could probably change your viewing settings to whatever background and font colors you prefer to view.

Howdy. On my computer your post above this one looks like everyone else's. I'm using dark mode. Yet, some of your posts on the desktop have the black text on dark gray.

There must be a bug with the site. Thanks for the extra info!

Thanks very much for pics got it back together. But the mag safety (magazine disconnect) is disabled. E-mail MCarbo and they stated their upgrade does work with the Calif. version. Does Galloways? My concern is liability. I know there is 99.999999999% chance of never having to use, but .0000000001% is enough to ruin my day.
I bought the short stroke trigger kit and trigger spring kit too for the LCP Max. As far as I know this isn't CA-legal. Do you think an IA would allow this if it were installed for an EDC gun? Does the kit remove the mag disconnect?

If you're in dark mode, you get black text on dark grey on some posts... probably a user setting? When I happen across it, I always just highlight the text so I get white on bright blue!
