Thought I'd start a thread for RC renewals and timelines.

All documents for renewal submitted 7-16-24
Notice of approval 8-26-24

Also, in notice of approval it says "do not pick up permit sooner than 3 days before expiration of your current license"
Is this what everyone else is getting?

Congratulations! Your application to renew your Concealed-Carry Weapon license has been approved.

Please pick up your new permit card no sooner than three (3) days prior to the expiration on the current permit (NO APPOINTMENT IS REQUIRED FOR PICKUP)

Yes, appears to be standard for Riverside County Sheriff's Department .

Thanks. It makes sense, even if your expiration is months out. The ccw page encourages applying for renewal 6 months from expiration.
Matter of fact, as I was leaving the sheriff office picking up my last card, the lady giving me the card said "don't forget to renew 6 months before expiration".
They're trying to make sure you don't find yourself without a permit.

FNG here. This is loosely related and I’m still learning how to navigate this site. Didn’t find a sub thread or a post and wondering, what the current timeline for Riverside is? I completed training and qual on 9/7 and my Livescan just cleared today. How long til I get that coveted green card?

Do you still need to wait until within 3 days of expiration of current CCW card before picking up the renewal one? Got notice of approval but my current one does not expire until May.

Started my renewal 4-4, upload documentation and fee's.
Pistol qualifications 4-11, up loaded documentation
8 hour class on 4-26, Soonest i could get
Received a Call from BI after i got an email stating that i just need to get the class cert up loaded. and i would be good too go. Appreciated that.
About 2 weeks he said after i finish class on the 26th and cert is submitted. So around about May 9th should be picking it up
