Chime in with how you see this working....
Let me know if you think this is mostly fair...Community proposal
Let members publicly report failed arrangements with someone they have dealt with in DMs.
Proposed experience
Place two actions in the side menu bar on desktop. Mobile will be at the bottomReport transaction issue (Proposed) Request feedback (Pending)
Request feedback: Choose “I was the buyer,” “I was the seller,” or “We traded.” A CAguns listing link is required. Insert a feedback link into the reply draft; the recipient opens feedback for the requesting member with the listing and role carried through.
Report transaction issue: Available only from a DM with the reported member. Require the listing link, one issue type, and a short explanation:
- No-show: An agreed meeting was missed without cancellation.
- Stopped responding / Ghosting: Communication stopped after an arrangement was agreed.
- Backed out: Someone canceled after confirming the deal.
Public badges
Reuse the existing Badges System appearance in a dedicated “Transaction reliability” area on profiles and classifieds seller cards. Example: Ghosting reports · 2.- Proposed default: eligible member reports publish without prior moderator approval.
- The reported member receives a notification and can respond or dispute the report.
- DM contents and conversation links stay private; the public explanation must not expose private contact details.
- Members cannot hide badges.
- Moderators can remove abusive or duplicate reports. Withdrawals/removals update counts.
- Abuse or revenge will result in ban
- No public reactions or voting to increase report counts.
- Possible mulligan reset. 2 resets free... 1st one is a warning. 2nd one is your own fault 3rd. You should know by now it'll stick with your profile.
Eligibility and duplicate prevention
Proposed launch rule: one-to-one DMs where both members have replied. Check participation on the server, automatically identify the other member, and validate the listing. One report per reporting member, even across multiple DMs. A conversation establishes eligibility, not proof of the allegation.Community decisions needed
- Should public reliability reports and badges be introduced?
- Are these three categories clear, and what counts as a confirmed arrangement? How long without a response qualifies as ghosting?
- Should publication be immediate, allow a response window first, or require review? Immediate publication is the current proposal.
- Should one report display a badge, or should a threshold apply? Should old reports expire from badge counts?
- Are two-way DMs sufficient, or should account age/activity requirements apply?
- How should disputed or resolved reports affect counts?
