Bought a RM1C from 2AZone yesterday and looking into red dots now. I see that it comes with the RMR plate. Trying to decide between the vulcan sight vs a regular green dot. I'm leaning towards the Vulcan simply cause it's just unique. I've yet to shoot a handgun with any type of optic on it too.

Also, I'm still not entirely sure if the Shield RMS/SMS footprint they sell will fit the 507k's without any modification, cause I think that might be a better choice too since the RM1C seems to be the width of a Glock 43 and the bigger optics look silly on it.

for me i would just stick to the dot, i have not used the vulcan reticle but it all depends on how good are your eyes, mine are not so great anymore so i cant imagine with my arms extended out that reticle is going to look like a dot anyway so i wouldn't spend the extra money, you can also save some money if you just get the 407c without the circle options just the dot. PSA has them on sale for like 169.99 i just got 2

IDK where you see the 407C for $169.99, that's a great price. I just see the 407A3 for $179.99.

yea im wrong i think it was the K variants that were on sale. i just checked my invoice it was 200 ea. i think low 200 still a good price they usually high 200 for the c model

If you’re not set on green, the 407a should be good. 3 moa dot, and you don’t really need solar, plus easy to change battery.

Personally, i like green
the solar is nice though, i have a 2yr old 507c that i finally changed the battery not because it was dead but because it was 2yrs old.

IMO there isn't really a good reason to get a K unless the slide is too slim to fit a C without have it spill over the sides.

As for the reticle, I have one of the green ACSS Vulcan dots, and I can say that I prefer a regular dot. The 32 MOA circle reticle with the dot in the middle is what I use for all my CCW guns, whereas the single dot is what I use for my range guns. In theory the big circle reticle for the Vulcan sounded great, but in practice I found it more annoying than helpful.

Rm1c slide is thicker than a 43 slide. It's about the same as a 19. 407/507 mounts to the rms plate without mods. The 507k looked too small on the slide for me and there was too much spacing/gaps. I ended up going with a 320 scs.1000025254.jpg1000025252.jpg

I have the red ACSS Vulcan and love it. So much so that I have it on my three carry guns.

IMO, the large circle is a cheat code, allowing you to orient the gun quickly if the reticle isn't visible immediately. And while some don't care for it, I think the chevron reticle is great.
