Question about CCW renewal & adding firearms (RivCo)

Hey thought someone might have an answer here before I send out an email to riverside county.
I got approved last month for my renewal but pickup is on october. Recently got a firearm & would love to add it to my new one or even existing one.
I did 1 modification before & rivco was fairly quick in approving it but I heard it has slowed down quite a bit due to the surge in ccw application.

My question is , Can I qual with this firearm now and put it on my new ccw when picking it up on october? Id love to qual for it now as well and put it on my current one but i doubt it be worth it if the wait is longer these days since the gap is 4 months.

From my understanding you qualify and submit the qualifying card. You just have to play waiting game for them to approve for you to add to existing permit. Kern County is much less complex than where you are so who knows how long they can take.

I just did a permit mod two months ago to add two pistols and another one last week to add one pistol.Both times took less than two days from submitting my paperwork to get approval to pick up new ccw license.

thanks for the reply. I called rivco and they picked up. they were able to clarify somethings for me which was great.

I uploaded my paperwork on a Sunday and got a text on Monday. That was the Palm Desert office.

Thank you. i did a modification last year and it took weeks. Looks like theyre on point again currently.
