What a great training opportunity! Any plans to try and do something like this at a SoCal range at some point?
Not like this until there's demand. This one is one to come up for freals...

This is about as hardcore as it gets... I'll be at the event, so if you want to go to the MIT / HEALD / COLUMBIA / ARMY etc training all in one weekend.. Shouldn't miss this.. It was on the east coast earlier.

Basically getting 1:1 with the MPA team

There’s definitely demand for this in SoCal 🤤

We would need a strong showing from some SoCal folks to request it. Otherwise, I can try next year to organize a class in SoCal with a pre-registration. The hardpart is not knowing the folks. Competition is strong but not sure if there's demand for these kinds of instructors.

The hard part is trying to commit and laying it down and can't find the people.

I'll tell ya though, it can be arranged.. I just need a good host to work with.

Is this the sort of thing a high "D" / low "C" rated shooter could benefit from?

I wouldn't want to just... be in the way.
It's not high round count for 3 days, it's a lot of tips and tricks. There's going to be a lot of information but it's academic AND instructional. All levels will benefit.

This is like drinking from a firehose. You will get every shortcut in the book all at once. Most of it will be lecture and dry fire with applied concepts in a match. If you've shot a match. This is the way to go..

Would 100% sign up if I wasn't recovering from a medical procedure. Hopefully this isn't the last one of these. Thanks for organizing!

I miss Richmond Rod & Gun Club, was an RO there, officiated a couple matches and helped in the range shack selling ammo and watching the line. That's how I got into USPSA in production, using my Glock 34 - it was a blast and good people.

I have train with RavenWing Limited in the past and they always host instructors at a range here at Sylmar. From Tim Herron to JJ to Gateway Defense. Maybe they can be someone to reach out to and coordinate with?
