And block party's on the 4th of July where there was no such things as illegal fireworks, streets were blocked off and everyone was on the sidewalks with lawn chairs.
Next morning was better then Christmas searching for un-used fireworks or those that didn't go off before they got swept into piles to be picked up.

The environmentalist movements that came out of the late 70's that were formed by all the liberal hippies that were not from here (Sierra Club specifically) pretty much wiped out the CA timber industry which provided natural fire breaks and the cleaning of the forests, I believe CA was like the 3rd or 4th largest timber suppliers in the US till the 80's. Add to that the CFS stopping residents from legally harvesting fallen deadwood for firewood just added another catalyst to the big picture, one had to pay to do that by the way which just removed State Forestry income.
The insane thing to me and what is most ironical is it was all done in the name of protecting some Newt, Salamander, Frog, Snail, Owl, etc habitat that have all gone up in cinders (some places many times over) yet there is no outrage when that takes place nor anything ever spoken about it.
The Delta Smelt is a prime example of the lunacy, it's a prehistoric fish (a minnow really) that by natural evolution was dying out, everything they have done diverting water into the Delta from all the dams that were built for water storage to be used for different purposes has done nothing to solve their decline.
Dam's were built to catch the water during the winter and during the other months to allow the same flow released that was incoming to preserve the cycle of natural water flow.

Duck Killer is the correct person. Mines road can be closed at times due to road conditions, but if you come from the other roads, you can still drive in.
I know people that rented late last year, so it's more of a weather condition thing. His property gets really wet and muddy, and he won't rent it when conditions are unsafe to do so. I prefer to wait until its drier, but before the heat.

Are you referencing Brian Wang’s (Monarch Defense) property? It’s in that vicinity. Yes, he will rent out if you pass his safety test first. Decent pistol range and sweet long range rifle course. Reasonable rates too. Just be safe and pickup your brass and trash. He gets a bad rap, but in my opinion a decent dude who happens to be intense (care about what he does). I like going down there, just a far hike from North Bay. Good luck and enjoy.

You should contact duck killer directly and ask any questions you have to the man himself. It's a strike to get out there, if you've not been in that vicinity before. Long travel, time and distance from San Jose or Livermore. Also find out the cost, I'd charge bank to let folks use a place unsupervised. PAX

Field Sports Park (aka Metcalf) in south San Jose has a public 200 yard range open on the 4th weekend of every month. I believe it is $20 all day.
