Preferred EDC’s

I oscillate between my M&P Shield in 9mm and my Kimber Micro9.

Not a fan of carrying anything larger/heavier.

I have glock 22, 17, and 19 on my current ccw, modified it picking up my updated ccw card tuesday which i will be carrying, Staccato HD P4, Glock 17, and Glock 19.

Non CA complaint 365 xl with wilson combat grip mod in a tier 1 axis elite holster w/ a holosun eps carry 6 moa green dot. Been carrying that since 2017. Doubt ill ever switch, can't seem to find anything better.

I have g19 gen 3, xd9 and shield 1.0, shield carry 90% of the time but I plan on adding one of the new on roster compacts.

Either echelon, mp 2.0 or the pdp compact soon. Just want something new and more this decade lol

Solano county only lets you have 3. I only own two(yes that's a problem lol ) but my main EDC is a 43X MOS with a Holosun. I honestly had better ease carrying it AIWB when I was at my largest (I've dropped 60+ so far, still going) so for now, it sits about 2-2:30. The other is your standard issue G19.3. It sits about the same. Obit IWB, but I've made custom leather holster for each for OWB. Also made a leg holster for the 19 for range time.
You can have 6

I'm in Kern County and our Sherriff is great but for some reason 5.7x28 is a prohibited cartridge for a carry pistol. the FN is a full sized frame put I'd put it on there if it was allowed.
I've got 4, Glock 19, H&K P2000SK, Ruger Max 9 and Ruger LC 380CA.
Hey will you be willing to sell my your ruger max 9

They don't want you to carry AP rounds in a possible CCW I guess...

For the past year I've been testing and curating the six potential candidates for CCW. I've narrowed it down to;

Dan Wesson DWX Compact 9mm with Osight SE Green Dot

P365 9mm with Icarus Precision grip, Radian Ramjet and Afterburner, and Holosun 407k green dot.

CZ PCR 9mm, no dot, which is also my home defense gun.

Smith & Wesson Bodyguard 2.0 Carry Comp .380 ACP with Gideon Pebble green dot

All of these guns shoot great, and I shoot the PCR decently without a dot, probably because I've spent so much time with the CZ form factor. The DWXc feels natural too as it has the familiar CZ ergos I like so much with a 1911 trigger.

This may change a bit once I actually qualify and start carrying, but that's the starting lineup. I may only end up carrying the BG 2.0 in the end, as it shoots great and isn't too expensive. Losing the DWXc due to any post-self-defense temp confiscation would be a little...painful.

It's beneficial to carry around the house in the holster, position, and setup you anticipate trying. If you're not limited to a certain number of firearms you can list whatever you want, but I think a lot of people start bigger or smaller than they realistically end up carrying (if they end up carrying consistently at all).

No wrong answer as long as people are carrying consistently, but I think people build up in their minds more scenarios or a greater willingness to dress or live around the gun than they may end up being willing to compromise for.

Especially the smaller of a person you are, you have less body ratio to conceal it and the weight will also wear on you more quickly.

I started carrying concealed around my house beforehand. Took my wife three weeks to notice.

I can have my biggest CCW the PDP compact with a fking skin tight polo that might as well be drawing an outline of the gun and my wife won’t notice lmao
I dunno what that says about the amount of attention wives pay to husbands... heaven forbid I don't immediately notice her new toenail color, though.

I used to carry my 43x or my 19 depending on what I felt like carrying. I shoot the 19 a lot better than the 43x and didn't notice much of a difference at all between carrying the two of them, so I ended up selling off the 43x.

I carry my 19 in a T-rex arms holster, and it has an Defender ST Enclosed on an RXM slide, TLR-7 HLX, Reptilla black hole magwell, and an Arsenal Democracy trigger in it.
